Overland Shock Issue

Post by thedriver21 » Mon Jul 03, 2017 3:55 pm

Anyone running the Thuren overland shocks and run into an issue with them? I've had them on for about 9000 miles now and one of the rear shocks started popping whenever I go over any bump. I contacted Don Thuren and I is sending another one out to me. Im not too sure about the quality of the shock but I can say Thuren is great when it comes to warranty issues and was quick to respond.

Can't say I heard of issues with his overland shock, might just be a defective one. It happens, nothing is perfect.

Those shocks have a pretty good reputation, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

They have a good reputation and might work well with a stock suspension, but my experience was they were junk. Maybe the Thurens were overwhelmed surrounded by all the Carli suspension, I don't know, but switched out for Bistein 5100s earlier this year and am very pleased with the improvement.
