How is it dding without the bar?

I think i know what you are referring to with the side to side slingshot thing... i have felt that numerous times. Very annoying, and sometimes unsafe feeling. I thought the thuren rear trackbar setup helped with that, no?

You're talking about two different issues. The rear track bar solves the stepping out feeling in sweepers with off camber bumps.

The front sway bar forces the body to whip back and forth when you load one side of the axle. The Thuren and Carli sway bars are just lower spring rates than the factory. Disconnecting the sway bar causes more body roll and you can feel the LS try to lift the driver's side tire when making slow speed left turns on the gas. It reminds me of my TJ but more subtle. So far I don't have any plans to reconnect the sway bar.

Take out one side link and see how it feels.

Very nice! How did you go about lowering that if you don't mind me asking? If I jack up the rear end as of now, the drive shaft will hit. Looks good!

That is the skidplate crossmember, it only holds up those three rod/skid bars and the gas tank skid plate. The cross member comes out with four bolts, the skid plate is held up with five bolts, and the rods have eight bolts. None of it is load bearing, you can lower the fuel tank skid with a floor jack (or just let it drop). A word of caution, don't mess up the crossmember. I'm told it's only available as an assembly with the entire frame. Also, don't over tighten the bolts, the nutserts are soft.

Am I building two carriers for 40's? I'll just plan for it.

40's looks like writing a check for $10K in parts and another $10K in value loss of the vehicle. Maybe someday but not anytime soon. Probably just a big set of 37's.

The sway bar is vastly better than stock. I'd estimate half way between stock and completely disconnected. Between the new sway bar and the added weight in the back of my truck I am considering revalving my shocks. The harshness is gone but it's so soft it feels lazy. Lazy like a soft leather couch blowing cool air on my nuts while I do 80mph. It sounds good but just too soft.

Nice! Yeah, the stock swaybar kills the front end. What did you do with the module? Revalve man, you'll absolutely love it. Same thing happened with my truck, 3.0's and 37's never rode like I wanted then changed the bar and too soft lol. Getting the valving dialed in gives back some of the sporty handling on the street and eats up the rough with more speed. I really like your truck sir, good job!

Very cool, that's good to hear. Yeah 40's are a serious deal. Big 37's are a solid compromise, just don't do little 37's.

What did you add in the rear for weight? You referring to the tire carrier? Or a soon-to-be item?

Thanks. I'll have to get with Don in the fall. I mounted the module in front of the radiator on the passenger side. Gen 4 trucks have the ECU behind the passenger side headlight so I has to get creative. I used zip ties but play to get some large pipe clamps.

Ah I thought you got your Kings after all that. I could see all that adding up pretty quick

So you gave up the disconnecting sway bar for a softer but solid bar?

Just take out one of the links, it's two bolts. They come out easier than the junky stock links.
