Frontier front replacement bumper on Powerwagon?

Post by bdk » Tue May 02, 2017 10:37 am

I found one of these bumpers for sale locally and I'm thinking it might work on my 2012 Powerwagon if I made cut outs for the fairlead and free spool handle. Any one know why this would or wouldn't work?

Ranch Hand makes a bumper very similar that already works with the Power Wagon, might be worth taking a look at.

Frontier front replacement bumper on Powerwagon?

Thank you, I'll look into those also. I'm mostly interested in this one because I can pick it up used right now for less than 1/2 the price of it new. I'd much rather have an Aluminess, ARB or AEV, but they're just more $ than I can justify

Depends on how much farther it sticks out then the stock bumper. You might have to install another roller fairlead on the bumper like on the 3G Aluminess bumper.

bdk I'm selling my Ranch Hand that was made specifically for the power wagon. Just got back from Poison Spider with it and it's great. I want something more high-speed though, I'll be making a tube bumper. I would sell it for a great price.

Don't worry, I'm in the haters group myself. The bumper came with the truck. I'm working to get rid of it. Diamond plate is ugly but this is still the nicest bull bar bumper I've seen on the Rams. I absolutely hate the ones with the big tube as part of the bumper.

Give me a call/text. I've got a few ideas I think will turn out pretty solid for the Ram platform. Already setting up a plan for tooling and business direction.

I should be settled at the end of June at the new place. We can set things up around then.

That original link is hideous. Cheap is one thing but heavy, ugly and destroying the terrible approach angle these trucks already have.. WTF?
