Contemplating white rim trail Mon - Tues, and then meet up with the group from wed to sat

Is 2- days sufficient time to enjoy the white rim?

Also, can someone recommend a battery operated portable tire inflator?

Thanks,
Joe

Two days is enjoyable. You'll need to either reserve your campground online (back country permit req'd) or at the visitor's center the day of. If you wait to book the day of, you may find yourself limited in options. The trail out along the Green River is a bit narrow and tight. It was a butt pucker with the 1500 in a few spots that curved around massive rock walls just above the Green River. So allow a bit more time the second day to get out.

Thanks for sharing your experience!
Can the trail be done in 1-day?
I checked the reservation site, there are no camping spots available in the 1st. There is one on the 2nd, but it is near the end of the trail.

Should be interesting considering my wheels extend beyond a standard 1500!

As I understand it, the trail can be completed with a day permit but it's not enjoyable as you'll be in the drivers seat the entire time.

It can be done in a day. Just don't plan to do any off-shoots, like Lathrop Canyon.

This might be cheesy, but with so many of us having the same names (5 Mike - 4 Chris) and with such a large group, I want to assign everyone a number. And then put the number on the upper corner of your windshield with window chalk. Kind of like they do at the drag strip.

It will make it easy on comms when spotting and traveling on the trail. And allow me to quickly identify who I'm taking a picture/video off.

Hopefully, no one will have a problem with that. It's the window chalk that washes off anyhow.

Solid idea Mike. I'm game for that. I have been thinking for a while now how difficult comms can be when there's twenty guys you just met yesterday and you have to holler something growth the radio when a guy is about to hit something he didn't see, etc. window chalk =

By the way is the list of people going up to date?

The list on Dropbox is up to date, as far as I'm aware.

Damn, I wish I had known about this earlier! I'm not that far away, in Vegas, but it's too late for me to take a week off of work now.

Also, got off the phone with Lief, he stated that there is a point at which a group of a certain size will be required to register with the town as an event. We Believe that number is 15. So we will most likely want to split into two groups to hopefully avoid an issue. If not able to, we will have to just be honest and tell them that it's the first time that we ever had a group of this size and in the past it has always been 6 or less. At any rate, we are a non-profit organization, and that we would like help to find out what is needed. That is if we are asked of course.

We expect under 15 participants on all days except one (Seven Mile Rim), IF everyone actually shows up. I don't think we'll have a problem with group size.
