Let's just clarify that the only way 20's are socially acceptable is......with 40's. And they are to be beadlocks

Looks like 36" right on the money on the truck!

Also, 20's aren't my thing, but I wouldn't judge someone for getting them. Though I will say, why spend the extra $$ on a Power Wagon if you're going to use 20's? Sell that bad boy and get a regular 2500, throw on a lift, and make it look as bad ass as you want!

That looks great! I keep going back and forth between going with 37x12.50 or holding back and going 35x12.50 so as not to have to deal with trimming that rear pinch weld. How much trimming is necessary? I think 37s look the best on these trucks. Fills up the wheel wells appropriately.

Also, are you running the stock 4.10 gearing? Have you adjusted the computer for tire size yet? How does the engine and gearing feel with the new 37s?

Haven't adjusted computer (sell me a calibrator damn it AEV!) or gearing yet and haven't had to trim the weld yet. It really doesn't feel all that bad, I don't notice a huge difference, but I'm not a lead foot with this truck.

Will do - they are supposed to be here Tuesday... Seemed to have some excellent reviews, I'm excited to see them on the truck. I had the old STT's on my first wagon and the BFG M/T's on the second wagon, figured I would try new version this time around!

Here you go!!! So far so good... A little noisier than stock and some highway whine but no worse than expected. I love the looks, ride and handling for such an aggressive tire. Still plenty of clearance and they look 'right' sized to me. ;)

I'm running 35/30 hot and get 35.75". 28/23 starts to really bulge and dips a little under 35". 65/65 measures 36.75". It really depends on how much air you're running.

Yeah, makes sense. My grapplers with 45/40 were about 36.25.

2014 with Falken wild peak at3's in 35X12.5 stock rims. I have played with them in the mountains a little no super flex yet, but I don't think they will rub even at full flex.
The Falken's are AWESOME... really quite and ride super nice, plus I didn't loose snow rated tire

I just had the Nitto Exo Grapplers installed. 35x12.5r17. Absolutely no mods have been done to the truck, except for some white knuckle sliders. There is no rub while daily driving. I haven't had a chance to flex it. They measure right around 34" with 60/65psi installed. The spare fits in the stock location, but it does not have any air, and we had to really squeeze it in there.

Are most of you not installing 37x12.5 tires?

I'm planning on 37's for next year when the 35's are worn out. But want to continue on stock rims.

Mike,

We've discussed this several times as you know...I think you're personally, and probably as a general statement, better off with a FULL 35" tire, not the KO2 35's which are like 32.5", than 37's. I went 37s because my truck isn't a daily driver, if it were, I would've put on a 35" tire in either the RT's or the same Nitto I'm running now. For towing and daily usage, 35" is probably the best option. 37's create some issues that really require attention: kills mpg's, drastically reduces effective gear ratio, plays havoc with towing, rubbing, stopping distance, steering angles etc.

What have I done to remediate for my 37's": installed 1.5" PW front spacers, some minor trimming (but I don't get hardly any rubbing), changed gears
What do I need to do: address front end with Thuren suspension components, upgrade rotors, pads, lines
When will I do it: when I retire...

But 37's look boss, so I'd get those :D

I agree with everything Adeluca said. I already have the Thuren suspension and am having 35x12.50x17 Toyo R/T put on the truck today. I went back and forth a million times but I drive the truck a lot and do tow somewhat frequently. What decided it for me is that I have the lifetime warranty so I will not be changing gears and I also really wanted a full size spare in the stock location which is impossible with the 37s. All that to say, I wish I was joining the cool 37s club because they look awesome and the extra clearance never hurts haha.

See Yellowranger's build thread for some experienced thoughts on 37 ko2s vs 35 R/Ts...He actually went smaller after having the 37s I think
