Mr. Smith 2016 PW build

Post by BRUIZ05 » Fri Jan 22, 2016 10:50 pm

This is my first PW but I have been a long time jeep Rubicon owner. First part is wheels and tires when we bought this truck my wife said that it looks great but those wheels and tires have to go. She didn't know what to think about all the graphics until I took them off now she really likes it.

So first things first;

305/70R18 ProComp MT2 tires
18" type 2640 ProComp wheels
Smittybilt Nerf steps
Badge delete
Graphics delete
Window tint
WeatherTech floor mats

It's been a while since I been on here. Here is an update, I have played around with my headlights and fog lights with HID and led lights the combination that works the best for me is HID 5000k low beams OPT-7 led high beams and Xenonhid.com led fog lights.

I also installed a Magnalow cat back system, mud flaps (Washington state laws) k&n replacement filter, line-x the bed, re tinted the Windows, and a level kit. And I also had some custom Decals made using a modified version of the original PW font.

Nice looking truck!

How do you like the pro comp tires? My buddy has those in a 40" and they are downright amazing tires. I was wondering if they would work just as good in a 35 or 37.

Ok I just couldn't leave well enough alone here is what I did:

ProComp 2" level kit
ProComp Radius arm brackets
1" rear spacer

I really like how it sits now.

Resurrecting old thread...... Gorgeous truck and color. I am contemplating a 2017 PW and, like you, the wheels and tires need to go. The differences b/t the 16 and 17 suspension wise are the same according to my research. What wheels (offset/backspace) did you purchase and tires. Also, the ProComp 2" level kit with the radius arm brackets and the 1" spacer, could you PM me that information or post it below? I'm having a tough time finding parts for any suspension related lifts or leveling kits for the 16-17 PW. Doing my research before buying my new rig. Thanks!

The '14-'17 PW suspension is all the same. There are not too many PW specific suspension systems out there, but they are around. Pretty much any spacer made for a regular '14+ Ram 2500 will work front and rear. But 1.5-2" is the max I would go in front without changing other things.

I would call Don Thuren. That's pretty much the answer to anything dodge-suspension related. Once you run his stuff you will spit on Pro Comp, Rancho, Skyjacker, Broz-Truckz-Maxxxxx or whatever other companies make "lift kits" for Rams. Also, suspension drop brackets are a cheat. Avoid them.

thuren got it all wrong. he should have optional 2" and 3" rear coils to go with his 2" and 3" front coils so we dont get a sqautting dog when theres weight in the bed

Give him a call and let him know. He must be new to the platform. Image

i dont see any relevance to how many years hes been in the game. im sure his parts are nice qaulity but some of use would rather walk than drive a sqautter. IMO he should offer optional longer rear coils to maintain the original stance. even his own website says the truck may appear to sqaut when using some of his components
