Re: Yellowranger1's Blue Wagon
I got a quote over the phone back in July when I brought the truck home, I believe standard was in the $400 range and the upgraded product (allegedly better cut/abrasion resistant and won't fade) was maybe $100 more? Could be a gimmick, people online say it's the bees knees, but people aren't usually eager to admit they spent extra money on something that wasn't all it's cracked up to be.

Re: Yellowranger1's Blue Wagon
My local Line X has swatches of non-premium and premium. The non-premium basically loses it's shine, gets dull looking and doesn't have that shine to it after you wash it.

Me. I wash my bedlined bed almost each time I wash my truck, and I rarely put anything back there and it has a cover over it. Its a sickening thing it isnts007 wrote:Wash it??? Who does that

Re: Yellowranger1's Blue Wagon
Took the rack to get powder coated Thursday morning and got a call back around lunch time that it was ready to go! They were working on a bit semi gloss black order and had enough space to knock mine out with it.
Going to get started running wiring for some side/backup/and dust lights today.

Thanks guys, here is the idea for the lights. 2 side lights, 1 backup light, and an amber dust light. These on here are mock up only, they belong on my ranger. I ordered some baja designs S2 sports in the work/scene lighting pattern, better spread and not as intense for lighting up camp, etc. made a couple trips to the store for supplies I know I have and can't find, then had dinner plans so I didn't make any progress on wiring. Hoping to have it done tonight though.

Yellowranger1's Blue Wagon
Thank you! I'm really antsy to get out in the dirt with the new setup! If all goes well and I can get away from work for a couple of days, we'll be heading to the White Rim trail on Thursday. If that doesn't happen, maybe we'll go explore some place new? Never been to Anza Borrego...
Lights work! I built a basic harness on the rack, couple of the plugs ended up a tad long, but overall I'm happy with it. Still loving the switch pro unit as well, this thing makes it a snap.
The lights on there now are meant to be forward facing dust/fog lights for my prerunner, the white flood lights should be here in a day or two. I'll post some output shots when those arrive.

Well, not going to be possible to get away from work in time to make it to the White Rim trail... pretty bummed about that. We're going to salvage the weekend and head south to Anza Borrego state park to do some 4wheeling and check out the desert bloom that's going on.
Got my delivery from Home Depot, 4 pack of 8gal action packers. 1 is recovery gear, the other is fluids/tire repair, the other 2 will be used if needed or just for organization in general. I mounted the tent back on the truck last night, I'm really loving how this thing is coming together! Just waiting on those lights to come in so I can finalize that, and mount a fire extinguisher and I think the rack will be all done.
*In case anyone is wondering, the cover on the tent looks like that because it is new and needs to stretch a bit. Fits REALLY tight right now and is supposed to break in with use. Hopefully when it warms up a bit I can stretch it over the rest of the tent.

YR, can you size down your pictures? This forum doesn't scale down pictures so even on large monitors we can only see part of your picture.

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with how it's turned out! Can't wait to hit the trails this weekend...
Feels like I'm sitting in the nosebleed section up here!
@Reloader how's that last pic? I usually view the forum on Tapatalk, didn't realize my pics were too large.

Also, Tapatalk is terrible and robs forum owners. Stop using it.

@MikeKey I was actually talking to my friend about that (bluedogco), I mentioned how the American Adventurist forum wasn't working for me anymore and he referred me to his thread on there (Great White Buffalo in the full size section) where someone linked to the issues the forum/Dave were having with Tapatalk. It's a bummer since it's really convenient having all of my forums together in one app... not the end of the world I'll just have to get used to going through the browser again.

Re: Yellowranger1's Blue Wagon
Did a bunch of exploring around Anza Borrego and Ocotillo Wells this weekend. Had a great time and the PW got to stretch its legs on some trails.
This was steeper than I thought! Got the truck to teeter a couple of times on this descent. Pics never do things like this justice, but you get the idea if you look at the mountains in the background.
New tent setup worked great! Everything was much easier to tie down in the bed too!

Gf loves driving this thing off road, she's getting better at picking lines and recognizing when 4hi/lo are appropriate.
Some of the desert super bloom going on here in SoCal, the main roads and some easy trails were super crowded.
We hit the calcite mine trail before heading home, this one was really tight for a full size in some areas and really tested the articulation. The Toyo RT did great aired down to 25/20
