'17 controversy

Post by cb1987 » Sun Mar 19, 2017 2:34 am

seems some people hate the look and some love it. im not to sure about the grill yet but other than that I really like the '17 appearance and the bed side decal really gives it a nice old school touch imo. anyway to make a long story short I ordered a '17 today :excited: . supposedly 5-6 week delivery time is what I was told. to make room Ill be getting rid of a '16. if anyones interested I can make em a good deal so they avoid the initial depreciation hit of a new one. its a '16 Laramie wagon in excellent shape with only 5,200 mi

Buy what you like. :)

I'm not a big fan of powder coat though. Doesn't hold up well in my area of the country. I ordered my 16 deleted of graphics, doesn't even say powerwagon, 2500, nothing.

Enjoy the truck.

I saw a 17 at my local dealers lot.

Personally I like the side graphics better than the previous graphics by a long shot.

The seats look really neat also w/the tire tread pattern

The grill and tailgate I aint quite sure about yet...

Anyway, Good Luck w/the new rig!!

From a non-owner considering a purchase in a couple of months. I would never bought a prior one due to looks. I thought chrome and graphics were dated and cheesy. When you mixed in those weird colors on the grill it looked like something a drug lord would own. While the new grill is not perfect, being black it does not scream out dated. And the retro Power Wagon graphics work for me.

I even saw a regular Ram truck yesterday and had the same impression. The Chrome grill should have gone decades ago.

From my experience, you can still change your order for a few days. I remember that I deleted the CD player and added the rear defroster.

Good on ya! I like them both. I like the appearance and the seats better on the'17 but I like I already have paid down a bit on my '16. :)

I don't think there was any major changes other than the appearance and the way the packages are setup a bit. After 21k miles, I am sure they are great trucks!
