2011BigRed Build
Here is what I've done so far
35" Federal Couragia MTs (I know most people don't like them but they are working so far)
Plasti dip front bumper and grill
Removed plastic piece on bumper
More to come
Whats next
fab a skid plate/light mount under bumper to protect the "Smart Bar"
good quality rock sliders wish there was more options so I don't have to ship from California (White Knuckle)
Thuren Control Arms (little rub at full lock)

Looks great!! Never heard anything bad about the federals. Just not that common out here. Were they stud able?

Re: 2011BigRed Build
They are not stud able I think that my next set of summer tires will be 37" MTRs then a 35" studded snow tire in the winter
Re: 2011BigRed Build
Nice looking Wagon! You don't see that color very often on the 4Gs.
FYI, I'd rethink the 37" MTRs for the truck. They don't balance worth a $h!t on our heavier trucks. My 315's throw weights all.the.freaking.time. In the looks department, they're awesome! But, they're just not for our truck, unfortunately....

Re: 2011BigRed Build
And there is now a ton of 37" options... AT, RT, MT, hybrids and so on from many different manufacturers. Lots of good first hand reviews here. Are you looking for a MT specifically?
Truck looks pretty good with the front end blacked out BTW. I wasn't sure how that would look but I really like it

If I start listing Mods I would have to change the list daily

Re: 2011BigRed Build
I'm not only after MT tires I am however wanting something that has really good puncture ratings as most of the off roading I do is backwoods lots of broken rock and debris

Re: 2011BigRed Build
Just got the shipping confirmation on the thuren control arms
Re: 2011BigRed Build
You're going to love them! Once you see how beefy they are, you'll realize how weak the stock arms on the truck! When you grease them, make sure your truck is at full droop to get the grease spread out.

Re: 2011BigRed Build
Well I attempted the install of the control arms yesterday and the drivers side caster bolt is froze on the control arm so I am going to give it one last go without cutting the bolt off

I believe the caster bolts and nuts were something like $40 for the pair

Re: 2011BigRed Build
Cutoff wheel is best. That should make quick work of it. You will need to support the weight of the truck when you drive them out and probably need a drift punch and a man-sized hammer to get them out.
