Other than the fact they took their fuel mileage out to pasture, that would be my choice if I had gobs of money. I would ditch those huge tired though. One of those tires weighs almost as much as the entire axle supporting it. No bueno.

At 106 pounds, they are definitely heavy for a tire. But what 40" tire isnt heavy? And I think an AAM 9.25 weighs a touch more than that too

I thought the 37's were 106? 40's are way more? I could definitely be wrong on that haha. I'm sure the ride quality on 40's at 15psi feels like that cloud of titties some have experienced.

Ah. Less herniating than 106. Dang that's not much more, I'm going 40's! I'll get better mileage because I won't have to slow down for traffic with tires like that

Why stop at 40" tires? Go to the 54" tires.

Is it a cummins? I can't tell from this pic. That's definitely dream truck status when I am rich and famous. I love the single cab trucks.

I have never liked black trucks..........until now. That thing is just wicked cool. The stick shift is just icing on the cake. Even with the detuned CTD that comes with the G-56, that would pull my camper & not even know it was back there !

What's another $3k to delete the emissions and replace the weak factory clutch? Add in $1.5K for leather, $500 for decent headlights, $1.5K for rock sliders...wait, that's Z06 money!

*May not*, not *can not*

An acquaintance had a crew cab long bed on 37" Toyos, 4x4, Cummins with G-56 and averages 28mpg, no kidding. He is deleted in California. This is the reason I would sell my PW.

I would imagine he would be money ahead, waaaaaay ahead, getting 12MPG with a non deleted truck during an event he gets caught.

You're probably right, but the only way to get caught is if you forget to put everything back together during an emissions inspection.

That would get old quick in my state. We have to have inspections every year. Mine is due next month. No smog check for me yet but that's coming soon, for vehicles that apply.

I read somewhere of guy by me, who filled up his diesel truck with 55 gallons in his aftermarket on board fuel tank & another 110 gallons in his bed aux tank, at the Indian Reservation (which is off-road diesel only) when diesel was around $5.00 a gallon. He got a few states away with his truck & 5th wheel camper when he was waved over to get spot checked. They put a strip in his fuel, showed it was "off-road only" diesel. Ticketed him, pumped ALL HIS FUEL from both tanks, except for 3 gal (so he could get to the closest fuel station), then he had to refuel at the closest station, which incidentally was MUCH more expensive than the rest of the stations. A racket for sure, but it ended up costing him close to $2000 ! Loss of old fuel that was already paid for, refuel with new fuel then pay the fine.

NY did the same type of thing with firewood not too long ago, because of the ash boring beetle. A guy was coming to NY with his family on vac, like they do every year, got stopped at the border by NYS D.E.C. . They confiscated all his firewood (had a bed full) & fined him $2.50 for EACH piece. He said he would never, ever come back to NY on vac. His fine was in addition to the $1200+ he had to pay for the wood.

Crazy stuff.
