Hellcat power and more cab options may be coming!!!!

If it's about Power Wagons, all generations, this is where it'll go. This is the original PWR Forum Power Wagon Technical Discussion Section. And this includes everything that doesn’t fit in any one of the other categories related to the truck goes here!

Hellcat power and more cab options may be coming!!!!

Post by RAM4ROKS » Thu Mar 10, 2016 8:29 pm

Anybody else seen the spy pics? There's a rumor of Hellcat Power Wagon!!!! Also, the test mules were a Megacab and a Regular cab!!! I think a Megacab would be way too long for a Power Wagon platform but, the regular cab sure is an exciting prospect!!!!! (though, would be even just a little sweeter if they did a shortbed but, I'd still be happy with the longbed in the pic!) Here's a link with a couple pics:

Depending on how bad the pricing goes, a Hellcat powered regular cab Power Wagon in Tradesman trim might just be enough to make me trade in my 2012!

If they do make a Power Wagon in a configuration like mine is, then I will be buying it. RCLB Hellcat Power Wagon is a "Hell Yeah Buddy!!" in my book. This is the only reason why I didn't by another Power Wagon yet, they stopped production on the RCLB.

I'd be surprised if it happens for the same reason the diesel isn't offered - too much power for locked axles.

Way to be Mr. Practical and pee on the "Fun Parade." :D

I've always wanted a MegaCab, but I really wanted a Power Wagon more. For most a MegaWagon would be too big, but for my needs it would work really well. I don't rock crawl or anything like that, and the extra cab space would be sweet. Of course I'd never say no to the Hellcat if they want to offer it in a Power Wagon.

I break a lot of 2nd gen D60/70 shafts with the gutless pig of a 360. Only when locked....

These are cool. Local dealer has the PW I test drove for $12.5k below MSRP, very tempted to get a '16, but 700 hp would make a '17 worth waiting for. Also like the idea of the 500+ hp Raptor.

I would be very.... very shocked if this every happened....

Would I like a reg cab Hellcat powered wagon. HELL YEA I would. But they don't make a trans behind a 6.4 hemi that can hold much more than stock power (truck trans only) let alone 707.

Something tells me if they do anything, Ram will tweak the 6.4L Hemi that is already in the HD lineup. A Hellcat Power Wagon (AKA Hell Wagon) would be at least a $80K truck if not more. That doesn't mean if I win the lotto I wouldn't try to build one myself, but I think from the factory it's just going to be too much money.

I'd settle for a correctly geared 8 speed transmission.

I recall when the 2017 was announced they mentioned that all the power wagon options would be available across the whole line.

I'd have a hard time deciding between a new Regular cab or Mega if that were the case..

As far as hellwagon option.. if they offered it, I would find a way to out one in my garage!

All it takes is money. I had a co-worker that bought a souped up 5.9 CTD 2500. He could & did do that in our parking lot. It was way cool. What a white cloud that made. :notworthy:
