Pretty shitty to throw this into someone's Thuren thread. Let's leave the drama on other forums.

Yes thats my thoughts as well.2wagons1driveway wrote:Edit: just saw your post Danny about the domain names and the drama stuff. Seems sketchy.Colibri wrote:That's a very interesting link you just posted lee, highly informative. I'd suggest everyone check that out.
If you did indeed get your stuff figured out and caught back up with demand etc as you mentioned cause I know awhile ago there was some issues with DOR having extremely long wait times and customers not being happy if you've gotten that figured out great if not that sucks!
Here's what I'm referring ( and I think what Danny's referring to as well) to for anyone's info http://dodgetrucksxtreme.com/index.php?topic=15077
My trucks pretty done now besides Thuren alien arms so I probably won't be needed anything else anytime soon
Guess I'm lucky the leaf spring trucks were figured out along time ago lol

Re: Thuren UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
That's kind of what I was thinking too. It's cool to be able to compare AEV/Thuren/Carli/DOR, and I actually appreciate Danny being honest about falling behind and making mistakes. While I've never bought anything from Danny, he's always answered my questions quickly and honestly. I have so many truck ideas in my head that at times I feel like I'm having a loosing argument with myself, and when I do I fire questions off to different companies and then later talk myself out of doing anything. I'm honestly probably the reason why people who work for AEV/Thuren/Carli/DOR drink- LOL!FirerescuePW wrote:Pretty shitty to throw this into someone's Thuren thread. Re: Thuren UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
Haha I totally agree! I'm glad Danny cleared that up tho cause on dtx there was a lot of speculation and shit about this. It's re assuring hearing it from him at least another side to the story.
That being said What's everyone's main goals here truck wise? The dor 5th gen steering upgrade is the first one I'm seeing which is cool that someone is already on that.
All the fore mentioned manufacturers and companies are planning to lift the truck a small amount increase wheel travel and on road ride as well as off road. That being said a lot of components are already available to fit your trucks like I said no one had tried them yet. Coils will fit shocks will fit. I personally think Carli stuff is valved to light in the rear on the leaf spring trucks so if they kept with that same mentality for their pintop kits and the new trucks they would work fine on the p.wagon in my oppinion when paired with a lighter coil from Thuren or synergy.
For guys wanting big bumpers keep in mind many add a lot of weight and diesel coils might be a better option for you in the first place.
Since Danny has been active on this thread does he know the coil spring rates he plans on using for the p.wagons 14+
Would be nice to see them be the same rate as factory or lighter even! As that seems to be a nicer combo with a stiffer valved shock.
I do apologize for hi jacking the thread I was hoping to see some Thuren fab radius arm truck updates based on the title maybe an admin can change the title to suspension modification discussion for 14+ trucks

Hey Pit, Not really... the intention of the thread was to provide the growing # of 14+PW owners a direct from Thuren update on a common question we've been having on leveling the radius arm trucks and suspension upgrades. It's morphed a bit into a free-for-all, but I was just communicating Thuren's response to my email to him about where he's at on blessing off on his stuff for new PW use.Pit Slave wrote:want me to change the title to say "Discussion Of Aftermarket Suspension For 14+ Trucks" ??adeluca73 wrote:Done!2wagons1driveway wrote:Haha I totally agree!

It's too bad this has to be my first post on here! I've been meaning to register for a while, and can't wait to dabble more into the PW's! PW advancement has started, and we will have PW's listed specifically on the website soon. Should have a 2016 PW here for a few days to play with, sooner than later.djgaston wrote:

You really have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, but if you want to buy into the drama, that's fine. It's exciting. Have fun with it. I did the domain thing to rib him (and I told him that), I had them for 1.5 years before anybody even noticed. Forgot all about them until he emailed a couple of months ago.

I had to register for these comments by Danny. I have never slandered Danny or DOR, though, I have been honest, and that might not come across in a way Danny liked.
Danny I just re-read the email I sent you, that you never felt compelled to respond to. Just left me hanging. I did apologize to you, and I even said I would publicly apologize on DTX for not calling you in person first. Being that I did apologize to you, and you know I did, then you start this out by saying you are not saying anything negative about me, wouldn't you consider these comments slanderous?
Sorry for the drama I just can't let untrue statements go on like this.

no worries, it's why I asked. For many companies, it takes time for product development to come to market, some sooner some later.adeluca73 wrote:Hey Pit, Not really... the intention of the thread was to provide the growing # of 14+PW owners a direct from Thuren update on a common question we've been having on leveling the radius arm trucks and suspension upgrades. Re: Thuren UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
If I had the time, it would be pretty easy to quote the things you have said over the years. It's all out there on the various forums and I've had plenty of people bring them to my attention. But it is all in the past and I've tried to move on. Your reply to my email was not an apology; you used the word "sorry" but you spent more time blaming me than anything else. I don't know how many times you've had to apologize to someone, but I've had to do it a lot and saying "sorry, BUT you did this and this..." doesn't really count. I asked for a sincere apology and to put an end to this permanently. Even after all of that, I still praise you and try to sweep this stuff under the rug as much as possible. I know what you mean, it's hard to just let things be said and not reply. It's the hardest thing I've had to do. As you know, I'm a talker and I'd love to get on here or any forum and absolutely destroy all of the BS that has been said about me, some of which you have fueled. Someone on DTX told me to let it go and let the products speak for themselves. I tried that, but you guys just won't let it happen. If you have forgotten those incidents, it must be nice. I deal with them all the time, as shown in this thread. The things you, your friends, and people who look up to you have said are pretty shameful and immature.thuren wrote:It's too bad this has to be my first post on here! I'm not without blame - I was the biggest part of the problem. But I have admitted it time and time again. I dug my own grave, and climbed back out of it. Having someone like you throw dirt on top of me the whole time made it harder, but I'm out and doing well now. Thanks for helping make me a stronger person and in turn making my company much stronger. I hurt myself by not addressing the threads on every forum, and let them turn into the shit-show that they always become. I didn't feel like there was any way I could possibly win against that many professional forum posters, and rather than waste time on it, I just worked harder, hired more help, expanded, and continue to do those things. I knew eventually if I handled business here, word would get out that we fixed the delays and communication issues. The problem is that I've done my part, but there are several people who want to keep bringing it up like it's a current problem.
I am sorry for comparing my products to yours (and to Carli's, and other companies), and I'm sorry for not handling all of this better in the past. I was unprepared and just trying to etch out my own little niche in the market. I looked up to you as an example of what one person could do with a shop and some tools, and I still admire what you do. I've continued to send people your way, even knowing what you will say about me. I've tried to take the high road, but it's not easy. What I said in the quote above does not seem negative to me, but maybe it came out wrong. It wouldn't have even been mentioned if your boys didn't bring it up. My options are to either let things like that be said and never defend myself, and let them spiral out of control, or say the least-defensive thing I can think of and try to deflect that discussion so as not to make you mad. I purposely didn't even answer questions about my products in here because I thought you might see the reply and get offended. Maybe there is another option that I don't know of. I'm trying to let it all go if we can both get on board with that. I want to be friendly again, I just don't know how to handle the constant barrage of insults without sounding defensive. I also think it's important to have fact-filled discussions about different products, but I see now that as a person making some products, I can't do them and appear to be unbiased. The world needs that though. Everyone says their stuff is the best or strongest, but it's rare to see those statements verified. Example, AEV thinks their setup is the best. That's how I got lured into this thread.
I am also sorry for being a part of turning this thread into what it has become. It's disrespectful to everyone engaging in intelligent discussion about the new truck suspensions. I think that it would be good if someone started a new thread and just had Thuren-specific info in it, or whatever you guys want out of this (AEV info too). Maybe split the thread into useful info and then a separate "DOR sucks according to these people" thread. I'm really trying to be on here without the drama, it just seems to follow me. So I must be doing something wrong. I feel like I'm part of the Republican debate. When does it end? Sign me up. I left most forums to get away from this stuff.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, on almost all of that! I don't badmouth you! I can't recommend your business any more, because that will end up looking bad on me. THAT is not bad mouthing or slandering.
I am still hearing complaints on time/etc. latest I can think would be a few weeks ago. So you are saying that in the last couple months all complaints and undelivered products have been resolved? You answer emails and calls after the sale has been made now, in a timely manor? That would be awesome. I would love to change my opinion, and I think so would many others. Problem is, it takes more than a month or so to prove to people you have changed the way your entire business runs.
I still don't see your phone number listed on your website. That makes me curious.

If we can expect to see great products and product service as well as customer service then there's no reason why we can't keep everything together and rolling smoothly here.
But seriously someone needs to modify their radius arm suspension p.wagon ASAP with a kit from one of the higher performance suspension manufacturers fore- mentioned
The suspens-ion is killing me lol

Re: Thuren UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
My front coils should be slightly softer than the OEM front coils, and I will know more on this soon.Reloaderguy wrote:In other words, to correctly use Thuren's coils you will need to do a complete lift kit. CJC has pictures on their FB page of a PW they did with Thuren front coils substituted into a Carli diesel kit. I spoke with CJC and they said the Thuren front coils give enough lift to make the PW front higher than the back if you use stock rear PW springs. They also commented that the Thuren springs felt a little stiffer than the rear.
You might also consider the Pure Performance 3" gas springs. Supposedly they are coming out with adjustable radius arms soon too.
My rear coils are a bit softer than the OEM PW coils, and give about 1/2" lift.
Re: Thuren UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
Nope. The PW already has more travel than the stock 2500/3500 Diesel, so it adapts well. While at the lift height my current CTD coils would give a PW I would suggest an upgraded trackbar, same would go with any leveling. In fact, proper leveling on any Ram 2013+ radius-arm platform would also require bumpstop drops, so that right there will degrade the PW performance.adeluca73 wrote:So basically to level your truck with his coils---in for a penny, in for a pound---the coils begin the cascade of the entire suspension replacement, maybe I'll start with the 1.5" truxx.com coil cup spacer & shock extenders. But I'll wait a few more months and see what develops

Do you know the actual differences in the Power Wagon suspension and a regular 2500 on the 2013+? Is the only difference the springs and shocks?
As I know of....
- Coils front and rear, and shocks, as mentioned.
- Added radius arm bushing for more articulation
- Swaybar
- Rear swaybar links
I'm sure there is more I have not seen, but I hope to pick through a 2016 PW real soon.

Re: Thuren Suspension UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
I'm not asking you to recommend us. Saying things that are true is fine. Saying things that are not true is what I'm talking about. For instance, when someone posts that I'm a liar, thief, and have stolen from people. Find one example of anybody that has ordered from me and not gotten their parts or their money back. You won't be able to. Yet that pops up on Cummins Forum and probably DTX. It's always from people who have never talked to or purchased from me. But people read it and take it as gospel. That's why making false statements is a problem. Someone reads that and assumes it's true. And then people like you buy into it and repeat the same thing, and it manifests into a totally fabricated deal that isn't even true. If I screw up, by all means, that person has a right to complain. There will always be complaints, you deal with them too. I had a guy upset yesterday because he ordered something at 3 PM and it didn't ship the same day. Can't make everyone happy. I also had someone email yesterday who was just installing a track bar from exactly a year ago, and had a problem with the joint. I overnighted them a new one, no charge. I handle issues quickly when they come up. Am I perfect? Nope. But I know I ship faster than you do.thuren wrote:I'm not sure what you are talking about, on almost all of that! I don't badmouth you! Phone number has always been available on all invoices, packing slips, and credit card receipts. 855-9009-DOR We didn't advertise it on the site for a while because there was no point, I couldn't answer the phone all day and talk about Skywhomper lifter kits with everybody, and still get stuff done. I still don't take orders over the phone, we funnel those to our dealers, which was the entire point of having dealers. We're an internet-based company but once I fill one of the three full time positions we have posted, we'll start doing phone orders. You can always call for tech advice (on our products, had to start specifying that) or to check on an order. The number is on the site and on social media, Google, etc. I answer emails until 2 or 3 AM all the time, as I always have. I don't think anybody else from our sub-market is still working after midnight every night, but it's what I have to do to keep up. I do my best considering the volume we handle now. But there will always be complaints because that's what people are trained to do. I've seen them complain on your FB page about wait times, when everybody knows the deal. You can't please everybody, neither can I.
These changes were made a year ago. It took a few months to get back in shape, but we've been doing really well for way more than a month. If someone complained about waiting, that sucks because we've been sticking to our build times really well with a few exceptions due to supplier issues. I'd be happy to show the order date and ship date on any orders in the last six months that people want to inquire about. I've offered this so many times and nobody ever takes me up on it. Or show me a person who didn't get their order or a refund. Nobody can do it.
And if anybody is looking for a job, we're hiring another full timer in our shop, one for customer service/sales, and one for packaging. Doubt there is anybody on here but I figure this thread will get more views than any other since Don posted, so what the heck.
I've tried the diesel coils on a Hemi on these newer trucks, they aren't bad at all. Some would probably prefer them. But we offer Hemi-specific coils because not everyone wants that much lift and the rates can be improved. I like a softer ride, some prefer them to be more firm. At least there are options.
The rear axle wrap shock isn't PW-specific, they come on standard 2500 models too. I still think it's a gimmick and would be better solved with some good rear control arms, but I can't wait to see the first person drop a 3.5" shock in there. lol

Re: Thuren Suspension UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
I just think it's great to have both Don and Danny on this forum
Most of us here are only interested in the products and offerings and will ignore any drama. At some point, I will be looking for some rear springs with a higher spring rate that will provide the same unloaded ride height for my '14. I'll be checking with these guys for sure.

I sure hope these comments are not tied to me. With all of what you are saying, of all of this that makes me actually furious, is the untrue things you are saying here about me. I have NEVER slandered you or your business, unless you are only talking about that first DTX thread. I made mistakes there as I have been saying. You seem to be committed to thinking that, but it's not the case. I sleep well at night knowing I fly a straight line and treat people the way I want to be treated. As I said before, my only thing I am sorry to you for, is not calling you and discussing things before posting on DTX, for what seemed to have started all this. The results of your business practices are ALL on you. The things people say, are a result of the way you do things. Maybe much of it is not true, but your way of doing things created what is said.djgaston wrote:
I'm not asking you to recommend us. Saying things that are true is fine. Saying things that are not true is what I'm talking about. For instance, when someone posts that I'm a liar, thief, and have stolen from people.
Should we really do this Danny? Who needs proof? If people have to publicly threaten to come find you, or start BBB claims to get their money or product, you are missing the point I feel. It's not about how hard someone should have to work to get what they are owed, and after they push hard enough you come through?Find one example of anybody that has ordered from me and not gotten their parts or their money back. You won't be able to.
All the time. Got to hear the F-word a few times today! There will always be complaints, you deal with them too.
Jesus.....But I know I ship faster than you do.
News to me I would like to see that. Seems more and more that people are super impatient these days.I've seen them complain on your FB page about wait times.
That said, it takes hard work and embedded business principles to keep people happy.
I wish you the best in changing things up, with regard to what you feel is the right way to do business, and it sounds like you have found that path. I hope you can stay on it and prosper.

Re: Thuren Suspension UPDATE for 2014+ PW's
Off topic maybe but Mr. Thuren welcome to the power wagon registry!! I have your coils and your shackles and they are much better than the Carli product I replaced. One note the shackles were sent with straight zerks. Couldn't grease them on the truck. I swapped them to 90° zerks. No sweat. You were easy to deal with and I thank you for that.
Prior to this thread I was completely unaware of the past history mostly splattered all over dtx and cummins forum but that doesn't matter to me personally. When I deal with a company to purchase products I do expect to get what is advertised. Well I no longer will give Carli my business. But that's between me and them. I am but one person who will not recommend them and I've had my say here. On the other hand ordering with you over the phone was easier than clicking a web page button in my opinion. You even helped me with shipping the shackles inside the coils. Being that I'm in Canada it was greatly appreciated on my end of things.
I'm sorry you're first postings here are because of this situation but regardless I and many others are excited you are with us here.
and after reading all the dtx posts I'm happy dor is here and showing how he has or is improving business and making specialized parts.
Not gonna stir the pot. I buy products from companies that are people. Not people that think they are corporations. Product and service speak for themselves any day of the week.

I'm thrill to have vendors post here on the forum. But not in this manner. I like it when they post about new products and helping out by answering questions. And not Because then one wins.

I'm done with this drama and will be on here to answer questions more often! I'll have Aaron come on too if that is ok!
