Can you post a picture of this?

If the top of your tire leans away from the truck, it has positive camber. On most(if not all) solid front axles, including our's, the only way this can be adjusted is with an offset or adjustable balljoint. The only other way it can change is if the axle is bent, in your case the center of the axle would have to be bent upwards. Has the truck been jumped? Landed hard on any rocks, etc?

2011RPW, great looking truck, I like what you did with the winch remote.

I doubt it's leaning out, I think and hope what you are seeing is that the entire front axle favors the passenger side. Put a level on the tire vertically and compare it to the driver side. I'm willing to bet you're just seeing more tire on the passenger side and it's not really off camber. With the an adjustable tracbar set correctly, there's still a good half an inch of tire more on the passenger side. Atleast, this is the case on my truck and it drives good enough to set the cruise and get in the back seat!

I think to make everything. Cycle properly at 10+ of wheel travel you need to offset the axle a bit to the drivers side so when the suspension jounces the coils don't touch the track bar bracket. (This is my understanding and this becomes an issue when going 12+ inches if travel)

Installed the boogie bumps, and the sway bar tonight. I'm very impressed by the sway bar. Not near as harsh as stock. I'm also impressed at how I was able to keep my cool installing the boogie bumps. I wonder why he doesn't weld the nut on?

Yes, mine clears with the axle setting on the stop, still favors passenger more than drivers. Tracbar at 39-1/16" .

Just to be safe I chose a 1/16" over an 1/8" as well.

I just got an email from EMF saying my heim for my track bar is on the way. I can't remember what the center to center measurement for the track bar (Thuren) is supposed to be. Is the same as the 39 1/16?

I just reset mine and I did it at 39-1/16" . I was doing a routine greasing and checking everything out and just happen to see a small gap between the lock nut and the tube and reached up there and could move the nut with my finger. Luckily I caught it before it messed up the threads, took it off, reset it and tightened the shit out of it this time with some big ass wrenches and a baby sledge. I had the shop install my tracbar and I guess they didn't put enough ass on it. That's why I do most things myself.

2011 RPW

Post by 2011RPW » Fri Feb 26, 2016 3:59 pm

That's exactly why I do things myself.
I had that happen to me once as well. I was on a road trip, so I texted Lee, who told me to use a pry bar and a sledge to tighten it up enough to get me home. It worked and was able to get home, pull it, and tighten it up more.

Ya that shit can be scarey!!! Would be a shame to wreck a nice track bar because the lock nut came loose everytime I have mine out I lock tite it or use silicone on the threads after I torque it most of the time both. Silicone works well at holding it there also. And tighten the living eff out of it!!!

Got the FK replaced with the EMF tonight, set at 39 1/16". The FK was had only been on the truck for 16 months. I can't imagine it was worn out, but the EMF feels far, far better. Everything is nice and tight again, and the wagon is steering, driving, and riding better than it ever had with the other new front end components too. Now, to finish up the rest of the u-Joints in the coming weeks and itll be good for awhile.
Also, thanks to Lee for a responding to my late night texts. I bought I had a problem, turns out I just needed to slow down and think. Ha! As usual.

No worries dude that's a solid upgrade! Make sure to order a "small" wrench for adjusting it (in a few months anyways) from them
As well cause they usually don't have them
In stock and their like 7$ Canadian lol worth it rather than smashing it with a screwdriver to tighten it etc !

Haven't really been on the registry for awhile. Between work, enjoying the extra daylight, and time with my girlfriend, the wagon hasn't had any changes. It's till running strong though, at 112k miles. Here's some more recent pics...
