19 ram power wagon screaming bigger
Hey I’m new to the forum.
Just bought a 19 power wagon but it’s screaming bigger. I was thinking 20” rims, 35” tires and maybe 12.5 wide..... anyone know if something like that without having to cut out wheel wells or rub anything would fit ?

Stock wheels are not bad, unlike the stock duracraps. But if you want to change the wheels out this is helpful.

Welcome. Please don't put 20" wheels unless you're going at least 37" if not 40" tires.

31s are about the largest that will fit. Sorry.

Re: 19 ram power wagon screaming bigger
The natural inclination is to throw larger wheels and tires on the PW..and I thought about that as well when I first bought my PW. It really depends on what you plan to do with the truck.
If you plan on somewhat regular 4W drive or rock climbing trips I would stick with the stock wheel and tire size. This combo works great for full articulation. Remember competitive truck models to not have disconnecting sway bars so larger tires for example are fine. This truck really shines off road.

Welcome to the forum.
37's on stock wheels will fit. Most go to 35's.

Would you like the 35x12.5 tires on 20” wheels from my truck?

Thanks to all who replied. Sounds like 20” rims are not liked for this set up. Only reason I thought this was because I seen one with a 4” lift with 20” rims, and 37” tires and I’m geussing some offset. The stance on it got my attention. Thanks damage wagon it’s a nice set up you have but I’d probably stick with a black rim.

Bigger tires? Hell yeah!
Bigger wheels? Hell no!
You won’t get much love for larger diameter wheels here. These things are off-road beasts and larger diameter wheels are more of a detriment off-road.
35x12.5R17 / 315/70R17 on stock wheels fit perfect, I’ve not noticed any rubbing turning or off-road. Photo of my 2019 on 315/70/17s attached.
I’ve heard 37s fit without any additional lift, but require some trimming, and you can’t fit a full size spare under the bed.

Re: 19 ram power wagon screaming bigger
I haven’t had to do any trimming and I’m running toyo 37x12.5 MTs on stock wheels. Rubbing and an increased turning radius, yes. But if I got better suited wheels I’d probably get rid of the rubbing and get most of the turn radius back.

Re: 19 ram power wagon screaming bigger
Just fit 35x12.5r17 Duratracs onto the factory wheels (I think the dealer put the 2020 black wheel on this 19 before I found it).
No rub anywhere I've been, but I haven't run it to full flex yet. Daily driving, gravel, tight turns, and slight bad road trail use has been perfect.
Also, I bent the heat shield a bit and fit a brand new ProComp 315/70r17 Xtreme MT2 on the factory spare wheel under the truck. Its inflated to 20 PSI, but I'll be damned if I could flex it at all anyway as it's a thick tire. I'll try again at 30lbs when the weather warms up. It tucks up nice and slightly higher than the bottom of the receiver hitch without issue. I'll run 3 safety cables around the tire to the frame etc in the event the factory tire winch cable breaks, but they will be easily cut with wire cutters should I need the tire.
I'm going to do more mods and physically move the heat shield and re-run a smaller exhaust tighter to the passenger side of the truck to improve clearance, but for no ti works just fine.

Looks sharp! Im pretty certain the flat black wheels were available as an option on the 2019s, I don’t think it is new for 2020.Backwoods wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 2:35 pmJust fit 35x12.5r17 Duratracs onto the factory wheels (I think the dealer put the 2020 black wheel on this 19 before I found it).

I have the machined face wheels, and I’ve never been a fan of black wheels, so I kind of wonder how the stock wheels would look painted silver... but with the black bumpers, fenders, grille maybe black is the best fit.

Likely the case then, I haven't followed options since 2016, buddy down the street mentioned it. Either way, I'm just glad they fit.

35s and factory black wheels
Re: 19 ram power wagon screaming bigger
With the larger tires and obvious change in rotation for all the computer input calculations such as speedo , has anyone noticed any affect to the nanny crap due to tire size?
