Have some new damage to the passenger side of my '05 Quad Cab Short Bed, and I managed to bend my N-Fab drop steps. May be repairable, but probably not, and I can't buy just one from N-Fab. So may be time for a set of sliders. Called Aluminess and they are so busy with production stuff that they won't even talk about building a set from their old drawings. No guess from them as to when they might be willing to build me a set, even though they used to sell these as a stock item. My installation is complicated by the two house batteries that are mounted to the frame rail under the passenger side of the cab, so new rails will have to be modified before I can mount them. Anybody know a shop in So Cal that has already done these rails for the '05-'09 trucks? I really don't want to start from scratch with measuring and fitting. Thanks.
Waiting for a call back from White Knuckle. They show 05-09 on their website.

White Knuckle be about the only ones. Unless you make them yourself.

Re: Rock Sliders For '05 PW?
I have White Knuckle sliders on my '05, as does PDavey. Great fit, solid, and they bolt on. I have really used them on actual rocks with no damage. The only thing I can think of in your case is the location of the mounts in relation to your batteries. I can measure the location of the mounts if you don't get them from WK.

Spoke with White Knuckle this afternoon. They are willing to look at the truck and see if their mounts can be modified to work around my battery mounts. They are about 100 miles away, so will be a couple weeks before I can get over there. If they can do it, they'll need the truck in their shop for fitting before sliders go to powder coat. At least they are willing to look at it, unlike Aluminess.

Maple has some cool stuff, but White Knuckle looked at the truck and they can delete one mount on the passenger side to avoid my house batteries. Only caveat is that we have to use the .188 tubing to maintain strength with one missing mount. I can drive to White Knuckle for final measurements and to pick up finished sliders, so I save shipping expense. I think that's the plan, once I get body work sorted out.

.188 DOM would be the way to go anyway. If anyone is going to drop that much coin on a functional accessory, get the strongest and best!Ducky's Dad wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 12:38 pmMaple has some cool stuff, but White Knuckle looked at the truck and they can delete one mount on the passenger side to avoid my house batteries.
