Chinese tires

I’m curious if anyone on here has had experience with off brand tires, like Haida RT &MT or Sierra or Comforsor? I know many people will say don’t waist your money, by toyos, nitto, cooper ect. I won’t argue they all make a great tire, I run Nitto Trail Grapplers on my Jeep and they are awesome. just looking for some first hand info, and I’m tempted by them due to the fact they are less than half the price.

Chinese tires are knock offs of other knock offs. There is very little QC on the tires per se. They're cheap for a reason.

Well - you can cut off a few lugs of tread on one side and get them to balance

Personally, I would avoid off-brand tires. If the tires currently on your vehicle are safe to use, you should wait until you can afford something better than bottom of the barrel, especially if they're going on a truck.

If you're on a budget, look at Mastercraft, they're Basically Cooper Tire's "budget brand", but still pretty well made, here in the USA if that matters. BFG KO2's can usually be found for a great price as well.

You don't need our affirmation for your decision, if you want Chinese tires then go buy them. You already know know what you're getting into or you wouldn't have started this thread.

I actually don’t %100 know what I am getting into, this is why I was asking if anyone had first hand info, the only feedback I can seem to get is save your money and buy name brand, they’re not made in North America they’re no good. So $960.17 CAD and I guess I’ll be the ginny pig.

So far they’ve balanced, unlike the stock duratrack, they are horrible as everyone knows, they are quieter, and they don’t look too bad. My fingers are crossed they’ll be good, I cannot see them being any worse than the duratrac. I’ll definitely keep everyone posted.

My tires were made in Japan, you sound confused. Nation of origin does not denote quality but China's reputation for quality precedes itself. Being better than Duratracs isn't exactly a high bar but may be just the false equivalency you need to convince yourself you've made the right decision. As is always the case, caveat emptor.

Your tires and your steering are the two most critical components of your vehicle. Intentionally placing yourself in harms way with knowingly bottom-grade components in the most critical application with the highest likelihood of mortality in daily life is beyond me. You can do as you like, don’t take anyone else with you.

Well, 35,000 km and I am switching to stockers for the winter, I probably have another good summer on these pulling campers boats what have you but Im gonna switch to A different brand next summer, probably Cooper or Yokohama‘s just because life’s has came around LOL I cannot complain about these tires, they’ve done their job without any problems, no flats, still 50% tread on a couple of the tires, there’d likely be more if I rotated them more than twice ha ha Ha, if anyone is looking for a Haiada my review, this guy can’t knock them, they won’t last as long as a big brand name, but hey, nor will jeans from wall mart lol , you do in some way get what you pay for.... @reloaderguy and @damagewagon, I appreciate the concern and input, I had mixed feelings about getting them as well, but you can rest easy knowing they are not going to blow off the rim while cruising down the hi way, so if ever you are in tough times, these Chinese tires won’t leave you stranded as far as my experience goes.
