Another Government Wagon Auction

Post by Retired BLM Rig » Tue Nov 29, 2016 2:40 am

All auctions end on Saturday 12/3/16.

2009 PW with 96K in Las Vegas: https://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/auc ... CI17042012
2013 PW with 105K in Moab Utah: https://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/auc ... CI17042034
2010 Furd with 89K in Moreno Valley, CA: https://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/auc ... CI17042001

Guess which one will draw the most attention and highest price? (hint... the least capable  )

Las Vegas just closed.....just under $15k.

Raptor went for just over $25k.

Moab still open for a short time.....just over $15k current bid.

The Raptor had power seats and a tonneau cover, more options than the PW's, as well as lower milage.
I like auctions because, generally speaking, auctions represent more accurately what the real world value of an item is, what the general public is willing to pay for something and eliminates MSRP and dealers from the equation.

Depending on the unit for sale and the type/amount of people interested, it can also exaggerate pricing if a bidding war takes off.

Very true... Bidder beware. :cash:
This general rule also doesn't apply to charity auctions, but that's usually for a good cause. :patriot:

It goes the other way too at auctions when nobody is around. One guy bids a real low bid to start it, nobody else bids back, its sold cheap.

2013 with RamBoxes looks like it sold for $17,600 - nice;
now if I just hadn't already bought 2 new vehicles this year.

Thanks for posting those

:bump:
Looks like they added pictures for the truck in Grand Junction. Another beautiful Rambox edition in much better shape than the last one in Oregon, without the law enforcement backseat cage.
The price is already up to $17,600. I expect it will close over $20K.

Must not be resellers trying to buy these. I would of figured if you could pick up on for 8-12k you could turn around and sell for 16-18k private.

I agree with Mike, come on at these prices beat to hell off road full of holes from added equipment. Not convinced these are good deals and I have never even looked at book values. 2013 is still 5 years and a generation old. Edmunds Says 32-34K on that one. But I would want to be well below that for the risk.
2018 Flame Red, Moon Roof, Dual Alternators, Ram Boxes sadly Ram ran out of, Luxo Package with 8.4 UConnect, Enter and Go with remote start, Auto Wipers and Lights. Added missing skids and White Knuckle sliders. 35" BFG KM3s. Procal and Warn wireless remote for winch.
