The Nanny Kill Switch® is a device for completely turning off the traction control, electronic stability control and antilock brake nannies in your 2011 - 2024 HD Ram truck. It allows you to do things that the truck won't normally allow, like full throttle hill climbs, unlimited donuts in the snow or sand or lock up your brakes and skid to a stop on any surface. It’s made with 40 amp rated quality components and is completely plug and play, with no need to cut the factory harness. Simply mount the device in your fusebox and follow the instructions for routing one zero amperage ground wire to the dashboard area and mount the included rocker switch in the location of your choice. It's easily removable to avoid warranty issues. The ABS warning light will illuminate, which is your indicator that the system is working and a reminder to turn the switch off when you return to the pavement.

I’m asking $79 for this item + $6.60 shipping. (Canadian shipping is $23 USD) It comes with a six month money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied, just return it for a refund. I always have supplies on hand to make more of these. Private message or email me if you’re interested. (AbelComponents@yahoo.com)

A portion of the sale of these items will be donated to the “Power Wagon Registry” to help offset hosting costs.

Here's a video that Pigpen made of his install on a 2015 (applies to 2013-2018):

Purchasing this item means that you take back full control of your truck, as well as full responsibility for your actions and consequences after you flip the switch. Getting caught with this device at the dealership may void your warranty. It's time to put on your big boy pants! :poke:

Just assuming one has to turn it back on if you want to use Hill Descent control?

Can’t wait to get mine.

Is the toggle going to be powered? So we ground and 12v source the switch?

Correct, it's just a ground switch. No power involved outside of the fusebox.
If you wanted to reconfigure it to work with a "Switch-Pros" or "sPOD" module, just ground the small black wire and cut the fuse off the small red wire and attach it to your switch module.

I received a question regarding what years this kill switch fits as it's currently configured, but I'm not even sure myself. I know it fits 2014-2018, but I need to see some pictures of other years to see the fusebox layout. So if anyone following this thread would mind posting some pictures of 2010-2013 fuseboxes, maybe we can figure out what it will fit.

I know 3rd gen is completely different, but we don't have as many nannies to contend with. So, if any 3rd gen owners feel that this is a necessary mod for our trucks, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

It looks like this kill switch will work on 13-18 as currently configured.
2012 was the last year for "Mini" (ATM) fuses and 2013 was the first year for "Micro" (ATR) fuses.
I still need someone to take a picture of a 2010-2012 fusebox, including the legend.
If there's no interest for the older trucks, that's fine too.

Is this specifically for California trucks or are you located in California, just curious. I know that at times there are differences between Cali vehicles and the other 49 states, hence the question.

I think the California version costs $150 and causes cancer.

This item ships from California. It gets to Alaska in a small flat rate box. Haven’t got around to installing mine yet, I’m still popping the hood and pulling the fuse.

Located in California, works on any 11-19 Ram truck.
I'm just trying to follow the instructions for listing an item for sale so I don't get the moderators mad at me. I might get banned.:zombie:

HELL YEAH!!! TALK ABOUT WAKING UP A SLEEPING GIANT !
Had I only known about that fuse sooner ! This by-pass is well worth the money. I did comparisons with and without the switch flipped. In about 4" of snow climbing ( trying to climb) a hill in 2wd,with nannies engaged truck would not climb hill due to engine power being cut to nothing to avoid wheel slippage, with switch flipped 2wd throwing rooster tails all the way up and over the hill. Braking on snow truck stopped about 50 feet sooner because anti-locks weren't engaging. No more brake fade when shifting into 4-low. The brake pedal would normally drop to the floor when shifting into 4-low now it doesn't move at all and holds the truck. And also for some reason after flipping back to normal on pavement brakes are a lot stronger. Barely have to touch brake pedal now and brakes are grabbing. This was my biggest complaint about my truck since I bought it new in '14. I know others experience the same braking issues well for some reason it corrected the nanny braking also.
My truck is fun to drive now. It's been a long time since I have been able to do a doughnut in the snow. (yes compared that also) nannies engaged truck made a big wide turn around at slow speed with gas pedal mashed to the floor/nannies by-passed front tires stayed planted and rear of truck spun in a circle at about 3/4 throttle. Also been along time since I've drifted around corners. Well hold on. gas pedal mashed down and using steering to control.

All of this testing was done out in the desert country of Wyoming.

Is it possible to get one of these to go with the locker bypass?

It looks like the Nanny Kill Switch won't work in the 2019 trucks. The TIPM is the same layout, but they're using a different 60 amp fuse for the ABS pump. I'm working on figuring out a new system.

I updated the pictures in the first post. I was able to get my hands on a complete fusebox so I could fine tune all the wire lengths to make it fit right where I want it. Also, the generic toggle switch is a little less generic, I'm now including an aircraft style toggle switch safety cover as well as a simple chrome face plate, so you can choose how discreet you want the switch to be.

Def let us/me know when you get it figured out for the 19 PW. I'd be in for one in a heartbeat.
