Tire thoughts

Post by Kcswarren » Sun Feb 16, 2020 11:53 am

Looking for thoughts or experience with the Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires. Plan on getting a set of tires soon, just not sure which of the many would be best. Thanks

Hmmmm. All comes down to what you are expecting out of your tires. Super Swamper Boggers are ideal for some...Michelin Defenders are ideal for others. And there is a lot in between.

What are you going to do with your tires?

My recommendation is to narrow it down to what type of tire you want; at, mt, hybrid etc. Then go from there. There is dozens in each category, from cheap to expensive and off brand to name brand.

2X- agree w olyeir !
OP- this discussion thread has a lot of info in the thread history on tires as you probably have seen. Keep in mind our trucks are 8,000# +/-; the “type” of off road use is also a big considerations as already noted. IMO tires are a major dependability & safety factor and you get what you pay for. Good luck!
