37x13.5 on -12 offsets
37x13.5 on -12 offsets
I know...another "will this fit" thread....bear with me and I'll owe ya all a beer or three if we ever meet.
2018. Thuren 2.5 with 1.5" front coils. I really want a set of wheels that are only available in 17x9 w/-12 offset and wrapping them with 37x13.5 coopers.
Can anyone speak to any rub issues at full flex? I do not want to limit travel at all but I'm okay with a little trimming.
Thanks all.

That combination is going to be hard into the pinch weld and all of the plastic in between. You could probably make it work if you have the ability to weld the seam once you cut 6" of the pinch weld flat with the cab.
Re: 37x13.5 on -12 offsets
Okay, that's what I was afraid of....as much as I wanted that wheel....I found something else in a +18 offset.
Thanks for the input!

-12
YEAH, have fun with that. There was a guy who did that, even after we all told him not too. And he ended up cutting a lot of body. Less hassle to just buy wheels with the proper offset. Find other wheels you like.

here's a good web site to figure out your tire and rim questions.

+18 is the way to go!
-32 plus the mods to work them is highly recommended though...

Re: 37x13.5 on -12 offsets
I have a 2018 PW. Has 1.5 level kit on it and currently running 35x12.5 Toyo ATII.
I just purchased a set of 17x9 -12 XD833 Recoil wheels. Will I be able to fit this or do I need to cancel the order? I figured with the PW already 2.3 inches taller than a traditional 2500 plus the 1.5 level it would equate to a 3.5 inch lift and I could fit the -12 offset. Please advise.

In reality lift height has no affect on tire clearance because you are still bottoming out in the same place.pmwigginspw wrote:I have a 2018 PW. Has 1.5 level kit on it and currently running 35x12.5 Toyo ATII.

-12 is going to rub a lot. That really is a poor offset. +18ish is the best in almost all applications on these trucks. If you can get close to that you’ll be pretty well off. Even a 0 offset wheel on 37’s is going to rub quite a bit.

Re: 37x13.5 on -12 offsets
Any opinions on a +6 wheel?
Would a 1/4" spacer be ok on these rigs?
I've never owned anything with this many lugnuts...

I recommend against spacers, particularly if you are getting new wheels I don’t see why you wouldn’t just get the correct wheel. +6 with 37’s might get some rubbing on the fender.

Re: 37x13.5 on -12 offsets
Just occured to me I had the + and - backwards in my head and a +6 with a 1/4" spacer would basically be a 0 offset.DamageWagon wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 1:50 pmI recommend against spacers, particularly if you are getting new wheels I don’t see why you wouldn’t just get the correct wheel. +6 with 37’s might get some rubbing on the fender.
I will go back to wheel shopping again...
ALSO... might have some Mojave Sand Black wheels for sale/trade soon. I know I will have them looking horrible soon if I keep them.
