Death to Duratracs

Post by Punishher7 » Sat Sep 22, 2018 7:05 pm

Well I am the latest victim of the crap stock Duratracs that come on the PW. $70K for a truck that comes with tires that can’t handle dirt roads. With just shy of 7K on the truck I was out exploring state lands today. We stopped (thankfully) to scope out a looong shooting lane, when I heard a loud hiss. Sure enough the passenger front had a hole in between the lugs. I literally did nothing more than drive well maintained dirt roads... Again, thankfully, my buddy had a plug kit in his Jeep and we were able to stop the leak. End of story, I ordered a set of 35 inch Toyo MTs on my way out of the woods. They should be installed by Friday. Guess I can now confirm how shitty the Duratracs really are....

Sorry to hear that, but you're def not the first. But you will love the 35 inch Toyo's. They're a tough as nails tire.

I’m looking forward to getting the toyos mounted. I’ll be calling AEV in the morning as well and will likely have some wheels and a procal on the way as well!

A semi tire blowout always concerns me when I’m near them on my bike. Even if it doesn’t take you down, the giant chunks of rubber would hurt like hell!

Or worse yet, when their blowout causes them to quickly swerve into you and take you out! :excited:

I've been behind a couple of them when they blow out. Nothing like watching gators fly over you, and you're dodging them like dodge ball.
