Put a set of 1.5" billet wheel spacers on my 2012 and it looks great! I've always hated how far the tires stick inside the fender flares on these trucks, and this fixed it perfectly. It got my tires away from the control arms, and now they barely rub the lower plastic fender liner at full lock. They're model specific, with the metric studs and lugs. I had to trim about 1/8" off of my factory studs so the wheel wouldn't hit them, but not even to the threads.

Looks good. I'm wanting to get offset wheels that have just a tad of tire sticking out of the wheel wells, but then I don't think I'll ever be able to flex without the sound of crunching plastic and possibly metal.

Plan on some other flares, rock dings and mud and what not will now be thrown all over the sides. Looks better tho. I just went to 35x12.5 all stock and rub a bit but already hate the fling they added so I can only imagine another 1.5"

I've had em on for two weeks now, they're not bad.

That will increase leverage and loads on front suspension and steering components, so plan to take off the spacers if you go back to the dealer for any work. They will probably use those to void parts of the warranty. Plan to replace some components earlier than normal. Your wheels are hub centric, so be sure the spacers are also hub centric.

No warranty so not an issue

Any wheel where the lug sits in a concave seat is lug centric, even if it has a bore that is hub centric. So it doesn't matter. Meaning the lugs are going to center it anyway.

That's not true on my 3G. Yours may be different, but I doubt it. The concave lug seat is the secondary locator for the wheels on the hub. Without the hub fitting properly, your lug holes may get a bit egg-shaped over time if you use the truck hard. Your truck, your call.

What size tires are you running? Have you fully articulated? Have your tires rubbed the fenders because they stick out further?

35 1250 17 federal Mt. If I cross a ditch at the exact right angle and stuff the tire it rubs the inner fender well. it can easily be pulled back but wasn't enough for me to worry about.

I wonder if I'd have any detrimental issues with my 37's and spacers ... Ugh ... I thought 37's were a no brainer reading what others posted, but I guess I should have just done 35's ...

spacers are no more harmful than wide wheels with big offset like all these mallcrawlers have, as long as you buy good ones.

Although I'm not disagreeing with what you did here (I probably would have done the same thing if i wanted to keep stock wheels) and I have run spacers on 2 different trucks (for front to rear axle width issues). I am disagreeing with you on this statement, a wider wheel more evenly distributes the stress, instead of moveing the whole tire out it really just moves the outer sidewall. unless you just have a stupid deep offset. But if our axles cant handle the wheel being out 1.5"s then i dont want them anyway.

Wheel spacers are always a bad idea!

The people that use wheel spacers are the same ones that complain about their Unit Bearings failing...

I’m fairly sure this is a terrible idea, but has anyone used spacers to mount surplus hmmwv beadlock wheels to a PW? Did it work?

Mil surp hmmwv wheels are 16.5” with a viable bolt pattern. Iirc the hub size is a bit off, but fixable.

So there was a guy on youtube who was planning this big series of videos on how to fit hmmwv wheels on a 2500, and he started by saying, “ok, we’ll have to grind down the brake caliper a bit to make it fit. More next episode!”

There was no next episode, he posted a comment at the top saying it didn’t work and don’t try this. Apparently you will destroy the caliper before it fits. So the next thought would be spacers.

Which I know are generally a terrible idea, but I wondering....
