sway bar links-crooked

Post by TahoeBuck » Thu Dec 13, 2018 12:57 pm

2018 PW....I still need to get my signature up. I've just finished installing all my Thuren goodies. During the process I noticed the drivers side swaybar link was not vertical. I didn't think much of it and finished the install. Long story short, I've measured the axle placement and it is now centered but my drivers side link is still leaning hard...to the point where it clicks when going over bumps or turning hard. The passenger link is pretty straight. It's almost like the drivers side half of the sway bar is too short....I know that sounds stupid but I can't figure out how one side is straight up and down and the other is so far leaned over. I've moved the sway bar over as far as possible(1/4") and it helped a little.

So.....any ideas? Any one else experience this? Again, the axle is centered evenly under the truck.

Thanks!

The sway bar floats, you can pull it to either side.

The flange on the metal sleeve that goes into the ball is supposed to go up against the axle mount. You have it the other way around.

Other than that, I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Yup, pulled the sway bar as far as I could before the passenger side sway bar bracket and the bend in the sway bar made contact.

Good eye on the sleeve. I noticed that as well when I took everything back apart. I corrected that and it helped a little.
