Well, on top of replacing my tires in August, I will also be replacing the shocks. I am at 41,000 miles on the stock tires and shocks and noticed today that all four of them have the oily residue running down them and the tires are almost bald. I have the tires narrowed down between Pirrelli Scorpion AT, Nitto Exo Grappler and another set of Duratracs. I need something rated for snow/ice due to where I live and these tires up here seem to be what the majority of folks run.

Shocks however...I've called all of the local parts houses and nobody seems to know what the heck a Power Wagon is or have that option in their computer to order shocks for it. Soooo I'm turning to y'all. Anyone have a good part for a 2015 Power Wagon with NO LIFT? I also need to replace the "shock" on the five-link in the back because it too is oily/greasy nasty. Suggestions? Part numbers??

Same issue here - at least you made 41k! I haven't bought any yet but ran into same issue...

I’d throw a set of Thuren Overland’s on. They offer extended travel, are huge in comparison to the stock shocks, better valving profile all-round, and are cheaper than stock

I have no references for replacing the axle control shock. I’d let it leak until you notice a problem, you may never need it depending on how you use the truck

Toyo C/Ts are good to go if you can find them. 3-peak/Snowflake rated, 3-ply sidewall.

I had a shock blowout within 6k street miles. Luckily, was replaced under warranty.

Weird. I'm at 84k and my stock shocks are still good and tight. Was going to replace them this summer or next just because.

I changed tires and shocks at same time also...35s Nitto Exos...and Thuren Overland...very happy

I think - THINK is keyword - I read on their website ya gotta get their springs too. Until I get out of Minnesota, I don't want to do anything to this truck(lift, gears, tires). I will replace worn/broken with stock size stuff. Once I get back to Louisiana, it will become the play truck due to the rust and I'll get another truck.

2016 Power wagon with 2in front levelling kit. I finally pulled the trigger on some front thuren shocks. Right away I noticed a little softer ride. I was not expecting a huge gain but was surprised. On road and small bumppy off road is good. I have not pushed them hard off road yet. May have a problem bottoming out as I am pretty sure the stock PW springs are softer than thurens springs. I think they are pretty similar though. With the spacer I have tested and the spring and it will not go into coil bind at full compression so I should be ok. If it's a problem I will upgrade the springs later. I plan on doing springs and shocks on the rear or maybe shocks with a spring retainer to keep the stock spring seated. I haven't decided yet. The rear is pretty stiff I can really feel it with the new shocks. So probably springs and shocks. I attached a picture of Thuren front shocks vs stock PW and they are similar. The rears would be completely different.

You must swap rear coils to Thuren’s to run his rear shocks. The stock coils do not have the extended length necessary for the long travel of his shocks and your coil springs can fall out of their buckets.

You will notice a fairly large change by switching to his rear coils, definitely better riding.

The Thuren kits are amazing. I just don’t have $3.5k for the full kit, haven’t ridden in a truck with significantly less expensive overlanders.

If you want the OEM shocks you'll have to get them from a dealer or someplace like Mopar Direct. The part # on the factory Bilsteins is unique to Ram.

See the picture of the front thuren shocks vs the stcok PW shocks pretty much the same. Just way better tune. You could probably get away with spring retainers like the JK Jeep's in the rear if you wanted to keep the stock springs. What happened is bilstine changed there numbers. There is a set but you have to go on length not part number. See the photo for stock lengths.

You just can't believe what you hear on the internet

Stock 2014+ Shock lengths.
Front shock extended is 23 1/4in
Front shock compressed 14 5/8in
Rear shock extended 24 15/16in
Rear shock compressed 16 7/16in
I think the Kings are longer according to there site. It does not specify length improvement with the overland just the kings. The rear overland shocks my be a little longer. Only one way to find out. I need money. lol They just sell the same generic tuned overland shocks and King 2.0 for both the PW and the Stock 2500. The kings should be a little longer according to the description. There is 8.5 of travel on the stock PW front and 8.5 rear. so with the kings. you should see .5 front. and 3.5 rear. that is why the springs or possibly a retainer are needed for the rear. Compared to a stock truck there numbers are spot on, for the power wagon it is still a decent gain in the rear.

Correction 1in gain front and 4in gain in the rear.

Doesn’t look like a 1” gain up front when looking at that pic you posted.

For the kings

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh yes.

This is why we repeatedly say you can run Thurens coils up front on the stock shocks.

It won’t ride as good as his shock, since his shock is tuned for it. But on the PW, our shock is already just about the right length.

Remember this amounts to a 3 inch lift for the 2500 guys. It’s the same parts.

Yep, and we ran that config in Moab. My truck was on Thuren front springs and stock shocks during PWiM18. Now I'm on Full Thuren Coils and Kings and it'll go back to Moab...
