Torque Wrench

Browsing Amazon looking for a good 1/2" drive torque wrench that runs up to 250 ft-lbs... gotta make sure the Thuren 2.5 setup goes on correctly
Anyone have suggestions on a favorite choice here? Prices range from $30 to over $300... I'm not a professional mechanic so I figure I don't need to spend $300+, but I don't need to cheap out, either.

I have this one below from Precision Instruments. I like how its easily adjusted and doesn't need to be reset to 0 for storage. It looks very similar to the SnapOn equivalent split beam torque wrench, which I believe is supplied by PI.

A good torque wrench is definitely a necessity. I was recommended
this one by CJC Offroad(IIRC) a few years back and it's held up well with quite a bit of use. Made in the USA and includes a calibration certificate. A

CDI is the company that builds torque wrench’s for snapon etc. best bang for the buck by a wide margin. Go with a split beam cdi and never look back.

I'm in the "Go cheap and take care of it" camp. Torque wrenches aren't rocket science.
The HFT ones I have (1/4, 3/8, 1/2") have all cal'd good-enough for engines/accessories.
Biggest thing for bolt patterns is repeatability - that all fasteners are torqued close to each other. They don't all have to be exactly on-spec (exactly 100 ft-lbs), as long as they're all torqued the same (±0.5ft-lbs to each other).

also something I deal with regularly. Repeatable/not-accurate + calibration = repeatable/accurate.
