I was wondering when that was coming. They applied for a patent on that design a few years ago. Back in 2017 I think.

My brother in law had one of thos honda trucks, whatever they are called, which had a full tailgate that could either fold down like normal or could swing open to one side. I though that was slick as hell too.

Approaching the functionality of the tailgate on my dump trailer which can:
- open from the top as a tailgate
- open from the center as "barn doors"
- open from the bottom as a spreader (probably not useful on a non dumping truck bed :wink: )

With the swinging barn doors on the trailer, you do need to be careful that they are secured - or they can swing open and hit someone in the next lane :excited:

Hahahahah, speaking from experience?!

Also, they need to be secured in the open position when dumping - or they can swing into the ground, and if operator does not realize this and continues lifting the dump trailer it can cause hinge bend-age. :D

Gotta be careful swinging those open when your buddy is walking around the truck after going back to the cab to get his big gulp.

I like em. TFL video from the Chicago Auto show showed Roman Actually hanging on the long one. VERY sturdy. Also the engineer guy walks in and out of the bed blind which is cool.
2018 Flame Red, Moon Roof, Dual Alternators, Ram Boxes sadly Ram ran out of, Luxo Package with 8.4 UConnect, Enter and Go with remote start, Auto Wipers and Lights. Added missing skids and White Knuckle sliders. 35" BFG KM3s. Procal and Warn wireless remote for winch.
