It's a one owner that took meticulous care of it, my next door neighbor actually. He has at least 6 or 7 classic BMW's and is where I got the BMW a couple of years ago that I traded him for this LOL

The gas tank does look huge, I also have a 1 gallon gasoline rotopax on the back. And a one gallon water, can't go out into the desert without water!

Most of us swap out our tanks for something a little larger. I drove my bike home from the dealer and bought a large poly tank off of Ebay and some graphics stickers from Baja Designs that same day. I drained and cleaned out the original tank - it was used for 5 miles and has been boxed up ever since

I love having the hand guards - they deflect lots of nasty stuff - and on the road they block a lot of the freezing air for us northern folk that try to ride year round.

I had a 2005 Suzuki DR650SE. Great bike. It paid for itself and the insurance with $$$ to spare, vs driving my trucks. Sold it when i retired.

Seen the new Honda CRF450L. That's been sticking in the back of my mine. I hate when that happens. Because I usually end up buying it. But I still love my VFR.

I traded a very nice BMW1100 for my dual purpose bike. The roads are getting too dangerous now days. Seems like no one even stops at stop signs anymore! And for sure turn signals might as well not be installed on most cars as no one seems to use them except me.

I want to get a bumper sticker that says "IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU USED YOUR TURN SIGNAL HALF AS MUCH AS YOUR FINGER"!
I'm convinced that DMV is using Mario Cart to test peoples driving skills these days, because all the millennials on So. Cal. freeways drive like they're playing a video game where no ones life is really at stake.

Yeah, that is exactly why i sold mine. I LOVE riding, but everyone seems to drive with their middle finger, even though it was clearly their fault. Been thinking about an off-road bike lately, to eliminate all the on-road issues. lol
