Congrats on retirement. Been retired for 2 yrs now. Work part time to pay for my hobbies.

Worked for Goodyear in the '80's, during the hostile takeover. That was no fun. What are you going to be doing at Goodyear?

I think I might of been wrong about the whole lower valance thing. Maybe.... I just was noticing on the Rebel that the same styling is on the rear bumper. And it might just be the same "styling" with the 2500. It doesn't actually appear to be a taller bumper.

Also.... if the 2020's interior is going to match the 2019 then it IS VERY VERY compelling to upgrade. As someone with a family, I'm most impressed with the changes to the rear seating and all the room and the FLAT rear floor.

The radius arms look identical to me. The rear control arms and brackets look identical. Skid plates and crossmember look identical. The CAD housing looks changed, I see the damper bracket but not the arc of the cast CAD housing.

When they made the 3/4th gen split they only changed the body and a few small other things, but kept the drivetrain and suspension. Almost unchanged underneath. They might be doing the same here and planning a powertrain update for later, which might explain why the TRX is planned to release several years from now
The TR and TRX are only a few years away at most.

That's literally Ram's press vehicle they loaned us for a while. Anyways, that one came with air ride. It was nice. We gotta decent MPG with it in areo mode too. But I'd still opt for the standard which is steel coils.

Gotchya, that is what I was curious about... if it had the bag suspension, did you like it or would you prefer coils...

Loaner? Does that mean you get to drive it like you stole it?

I have the air bag suspension on my TrailHawk. I don't like for offroad. When you raise the suspension up up for offroad use. It stiffens the suspension up. giving you a hard ride with little flex. :(

I liked the ride on the road. However, I'd go with the steel, better aftermarket support. No chance of the system failing. Not only that, the stupid offroad mode is like our sway bar, it goes back down to normal ride height if you exceed 18mph.

My TrailHawk has 2 different offroad ride heights. The highest is about 4" over normal height. Once over 20 mph. It's drops to the second highest. Which is 2" over. At 30 mph, it drops to normal. At 62 mph. It drops 2" below normal. Lowrider aero. It has a wild rear diff in it. It's electro-hydraulic. Electric motor powering a hydraulic pump. It will go from almost open to almost full lock automatically, depending on traction conditions. By applying hydraulic pressure to the plates in the carrier. From what I read. It only takes a half turn of one wheel to active it.

It's fun to play with the suspension settings at a stop light. Go from lowrider to skyjacker and back down. And watch people stare at you while you are playing around.
