Leaving tomorrow morning. Going to Deals Gap NC. Tail of the Dragon. Have a big Nissan Z car meet next weekend. I'll be here from Wednesday night to Sunday night. Staying at the Fontana Village. Should be a fun time. Tons of twisty roads. This makes my 4th time there.

Last years run.

Calm down. Lots of joking around these parts.

I’ve done this drive several times. It’s always a good time, unless there are motorcycles in the way. Which is most of the time.

Hey Rusty, have fun but also know that entire thing is a cop magnet. Have had countless people I used to work with go there & come back with tickets, JSYK. The fun police are everywhere, not just NY State.

I was running this back in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and as it got more popular, they started cracking down more and more there. These roads have actual posted speed limits, but people go there to push their cars and bikes and a lot of accidents can and do occur.

A lot of people tend to forget which side of the double yellow line they are supposed to be on as well.

I have a place about an hour from the twisted sisters route, it’s a badass run and very little in the way of traffic or law enforcement. That’s one you should do if you get a chance

It's a 370Z Nismo with 450hp that I use for trackdays. Maybe next year. I'll redo the motor to 700hp plus.

Had a couple of 370z's with over 1,000 hp running. A lot like me was around 500 hp to 700 hp. Had a bunch of GT-R's over 1,200 hp running too. One was 1,600 hp. It was an Alpha 14.

Didn't see one cop on the Dragon the whole time I was on it this year. Was running 90 mph on the way home on I77. Hit the WV state line. Thought I was in a Smokey and the Bandit movie. Cops everywhere.

Motorcycles ain't the problem. Got stuck yesterday behind a semi at mile marker 2.

You should have seen the Volvo wagon with kayaks on top hauling ass on the Dragon.

We was getting our runs in mostly in the morning. Starting at 7am. There is no one on it.

Police won't get you for speeding as much as to crossing the double yellow. They will nail you.

Scenic Rt 97 in Sullivan/Ulster County has a LOT of high speed car & motorcycle accidents. 20 or so years ago, there was one where a bike hit a cat at an estimated speed of 180 mph, split the car in 2, killed all 4 people in the car & they only found the thumb of the bike operator. It was by the Hawks Nest restaurant/bar before it burned down. There is about a 1000' drop off to the Delaware River in that area, which is where they think the driver went. No helmet found-nothing, but his thumb....crazy.

No dyno queens here. We run the piss out of them. That 1,600hp GT-R holds a couple of drag racing records.
