Dicks Sporting Goods.................

Post by TwinStick » Wed Feb 28, 2018 8:53 am

Not sure if you guys have heard this or not but: "Dicks Sporting Goods will IMMEDIATELY stop selling assault rifles/weapons and also stop selling any ammunition to anyone under the age of 21."

I just e-mailed them a scorching e-letter, saying me & my family will immediately stop shopping there for anything. Said, "we can no longer do business with anyone who disregards the US Constitution & NY State Law."

Is that the society we are moving towards ? If you don't agree with the law, you can just disregard it ? You can Join the Military @17, like I did & get issued an M16, get sent to a foreign land & told to "go handle your business", serve your 3 or 4 years, come home & not even be able to buy a gun or ammo---THAT IS STILL LEGAL ?

Does this give me the right to be able to search anyone who wants to come into my house ? Because "they might have a weapon" ?

:vomit:

What do ALL the mass shooters have in common ????????????????????

They were ALL nut jobs &/or on mental medication. You would think that is the place to start, right ? But nooooo.

As simple as I can make it: If your dog ate the chicken........would you punish the cat ?

:wtf: When is this madness going to stop ?

I suspect it’s only going to get worse. Ignorant people value feeling safe over actually being safe. I’ve even heard them say they have the right to feel safe lol. To bad they feel safe when law abiding citizens are disarmed.

At least in CA, Dick's is the worst excuse I have seen for a sporting goods store. No guns or ammo in the few that I have have visited, but lots of stylish clothing and useless crap. OK for baseball bats and jock straps, but I think they should stop selling those because you could beat someone with a bat or strangle someone with a jock.

Let me preface this with the fact that I own several guns and a couple ARs. But why are folks getting bent out of shape when a privately owned company wants to stop selling a product or change how they sell a product? Who gives a sh**, it's there store, they can choose to sell or not sell whatever they want.

We should all be supporting our local hardware, gun, and sporting good stores. I can almost guarantee that whereever there is a Dicks, there are at least 5 local gun stores that will have the ARs and high cap mags.

Edit, Walmart is following suit.

Agree with you. They can do what they want and I don't buy firearms, ammo, etc. from them because their prices are retarded but I won't be buying shoes, workout clothes or sports equipment for my son from them anymore. :lockedandloaded:

I find it funny that some Christians have to bake cakes, but when the left doesn't agree with you, they can do whatever they want.

And without fail, a gun discussion is turning into a religion discussion. This should be fun.

Because if Dicks didn't want to sell a product they just wouldn't (Like they did after Sandy Hook). Instead they're advertising it and going on TV shows to discuss it. They're SJW's that were waiting for the opportunity to share their irrelevant opinion. Dicks actually stopped selling ARs in 2012, this is a publicity stunt on the backs of their core consumers. They can choke on an extra large bag of Dicks.

It sounds like a boycott is in order!

I have never bought anything at Dick's - the few times I have checked them out years ago - their prices were too high...

I worked for Dick's this summer part time for 3 days. Couldn't stand it and quit. The corporate culture wasn't for me.

If you want an AR. Buy it now as prices are going up.

Dick's doesn't haven't much in the way of weapons of mass destruction at our store anyway. i buy hunting clothes, guns, and ammo elsewhere.

but now i gotta find a new sporting goods store for kids. Dick's did have a good selection of that stuff for baseball.

Maybe in specific states but national gun control isn't going to pass the house. Hell, it failed in Florida on Monday.

Yep. They started to sell them again about 1.5 yrs later. They had to get rid of inventory. I image that they will start to sell them again after things die down. So that they can get rid of them, and not order anymore.

Virtue-signaling is always a bad move, especially for a shrinking brick-and-mortar business with flat sales and no future.
