Am I the only one not digging what I'm seeing from the spy shots of the 2019?

I'm not digging it either, really is a lazy design aesthetic. All they've done is retool the front fascia of the truck. There are no other major design changes outside the rear bumper and those tail lights. Very disappointing. Also the retooling makes the truck feel like a smaller midsize. Am I the only one getting Tacoma/Colorado vibes here?

I'm reserving judgment to see how this translates to the Heavy Duty line, but it can't bode well...

The interior looks like a more interesting refresh. Gaint ass screen is pretty cool too, especially with tactile buttons.

I was never a huge fan of the 4th Gen 1500 so I'm hoping the HD model is more aggressive when it comes out in 2020. I'm also curious to see if they actually make the Rebel TRX. A Hellcat Ram with 37" tires has promise.

Looks good from what I have seen. I like the look of the fourth gen's, and it looks a lot like them, just a little refreshed.

In ten+- years they will be redesigning them again and everyone will be saying how nice the 5th gens looked and how the new 6th gens look like crap. It seems that is how it always works. No different than when the 17 PW design came out.... most people hated it, now most love it (although, yes, some still hate it).

Have you guys sat in one of these new ones to get that "feel"? Or is it just simply the aesthetics that make it look smaller to you? I am gonna have to go out on a limb here and say the wheelbase and interior space is probably about identical to the last several model years.

GM did exactly this with their new Acadia, but that was their intent... they wanted it smaller. I cant imagine Ram would quite making full size trucks and only make "close to mid-size" trucks.

No I'm saying the refresh gives the allusion to it being smaller. I think the interior looks ok. The exterior honestly feels like a redress of just the grille and headlamps with a bad outcome. Not new truck or modernization. It feels like a middle of product cycle refresh.

Big difference between the Ram 2009 and the Dodge Ram 2008 as far as overall styling. Major evolution. Ford and GM are both better at refreshes. Ram is heading down Nissan Titan territory with this refresh. Just my opinion on the exterior aesthetics.
