Your luck would be like a 3 Stooges movie. After it gets done raining. You go out to the camper and open up the door. Only to get hit with a wall of water.

Yes, yes it did. We got about an hour of intense wind & some pretty good rain. No issues. I saw that tornado on TV, took a large picnic table & threw it up on a roof, destroyed a roof, some trees came down & of course the was the obligatory mobile home that got damaged. They said about 90 cars got damaged that were at the Casino at the Fair Grounds !

So, still no leaks, which is great. So today, I went up on top & serviced the a/c unit on the camper roof, . It seems upon assembly, they just jammed the plastic shroud on & put the 4 bolts in, but never made sure the edges were over the clips that help hold it on ! Plastic shroud was all bent up around the bottom edge, . So, I cleaned out the inside & the fins with compressed air, wiped the dirt film off compressor unit & cooling fan motor, lubed the motor. For only being 2 yrs old, there was a LOT of crap in there ! And, based on my recent house a/c failure/leakage, I put a thin layer of Fluid Film on the copper lines 180* bends, where it touches the sheet metal (that's where all the corrosion was on my house a/c unit's evap coil), hoping to prevent the corrosion & make it last longer. Made sure the plastic shroud was over the clips this time as well.

Just got back from a 5 day trip. Tons of rain, both while stationary & while traveling with the camper. No leaks. No problems. No breakdowns. Truck ran GREAT. Stayed around 60 mph. Averaged 8.9 mpg there & back, had the Cooper STT's on. Lots of hills & mountains. Was even able to pass on some long steep hills. 4th gear @ 4000 rpm's & up makes my Hemi happy. Temp only went up the width of the needle while pulling hills. Was able to maintain 60 mph up them, unless someone slowed us down. Rear diff temp was 167*-177*F everytime I checked it when we stopped. I did not check it when it was raining, I expect it was a tick lower. Used about 1 qt of oil there & back. Not happy about that. Think I am gonna start using 10/30 or better & see if that makes a difference.

Almost forgot to mention, the RIGID RED LAB truck & trailer passed us in the opposite direction today. http://www.rigidindustries.com/red-lab It was headed East on Rt-17/I-86 & we were headed West, going home. It was pretty damn cool looking, to say the least !

Also forgot to mention, we saw one of these today, as well: https://olivertraveltrailers.com/trailers/legacy-elite/

It looked nice. It also sat up higher than the ones on their web site. Looked like 33's or 35's on it. Tires on the 4 runner that was towing it looked smaller than the camper tires.

That Oliver trailer is heavier than my home built and at $46,000 waaaay more expensive. Granted my trailer does not have plumbing but I don't really need that any, bears do s**t in the woods after all.
