The joys of living in southern Louisiana

Post by RedMan » Thu Sep 24, 2015 7:24 pm

I have now been here in Belle Chasse for a little over a year and let me tell yea, I have not had the time to get on the internet much and reminisce about the old times or even plan the future... I have been fishing every spare moment I had off of work or not with family.

Average trip this past winter:

If any of y'all want to come down, just give me a heads up and we will do some fishing :patriot:

The world series run should be starting within the month in the Lake. We should link up and do some fishing, and hunting? Let me know if you want to go... or could use some company?

With my new job, I get very little time off... so what time I do get off I spent in the outdoors or with family now that I am back home and close to everyone.

The reason I am at the house right now is because my buddies gatortail is down, so no duck hunting this weekend. My boat is at the manufacturer having some lights installed and other warranty work completed so no fishing, and hoping to have her back very soon :wtf:

Thanks for the great welcome back.

Let me know if anyone is ever in my neck of the woods and we can link up.

Welcome back. I'm in the process of moving to Temecula, and we can hear artillery practice from Pendelton when the air is right. I have some hunting ideas for you when you get here.

Duckys dad, teal season sucked this year... not even one shot fired, but that's OK big duck season opens soon and it will be on.

Cannot wait to come down, I have been missing SoCal ever sense I left 6 years ago. I am hoping it all works out and I do come that way.

We don't even have an early teal season here, but the So Cal duck season starts in a couple of weeks and we always have a lot of teal hiding in the weeds. We scouted last weekend and it looks like the drought has concentrated the resident ducks, but there are not nearly as many as in past years. No signs yet of the migration, but that should kick up after Thanksgiving.
