I'll gladly take your worn-out factory Durashakes off your hands any time, just send me a message.

Haha, actually at 8500 miles they are still in pretty damn good shape. Good enough that I may have them sold for $800.
Hmmmm.... maybe I should see what I can get for my 15k tires!

Furiosa's winch came in handy yesterday. The recent storms here blew over a 70-year-old saguaro cactus. Weighing about 1,200 pounds, it suffered some damage when it hit the ground, but will likely survive. I'm not an engineer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night so I built a basic tower (can anybody figure out the materials?) and rigged up some basic recovery gear with a cradle. 4 people, 4 more cars as anchors, and a couple hours later, this old cactus has another chance at life.

We have been out at Death Valley again for the past week. Lots of epic wheeling because of the recent heavy rains. We even hit 3 feet of snow. This pic is at Echo canyon at the staircase where the map says short wheelbase only. They didn't say how short... We made it all the way to Amargosa.

They have very shallow roots, only a couple feet deep at the most.

Scary part is, my truck was parked right where it fell. I had a suspicion it wouldn't survive the wind gusts combined with wet ground, I moved the truck over about an hour before it went down. That thing would have left a mark.

The 'macho wagon' has the rollbar and lights doesn't it? Or is it that useless ladder rack thing. The rollbar and lights would have been a better design.

I wouldn't call it useless. It's perfect for climbing on top of your cab with a pail of paint. Now Power Wagons double as scaffolding Image

The roll bar was an option on the '70's Macho Wagons. It was bed mounted. If you rolled the truck over. The bar would push through the bed. Crushing the cab.
