High Output Alternator

In need of an alternator. The front bearing in mine is going south. It's making a good bit of noise. Looking at the high output alternators. I had it bookmarked and in a file. But some how I deleted that file. So I need some input from you guys.

Been running dc power alternators in several vehicles for years with no troubles ever. The one in my truck is the 270 amp model, it also has an overrunning clutch on the pulley that makes the engine rev with a little more responsiveness

But seriously, you may be able to track down his thread. I think he used DC, as Colibri said. High output at low RPMs.

Think I'm ordering a DC on Monday. 600 bucks.

You are going to have to run a new charge wire from the alternator to the battery through a 250-300 amp fuse. The stock fusible link won't take the increased output.

Well.................I ordered the DC alternator and their cables. We will see how this works out.
