The last post in the thread is the current waiting list. I think there are 22 on the list. You will need to contact Retired BLM Rig and see if he has any idea on how long the wait is.

Hello Buck316,

The list is in my "Abel Components" vendor area and in the "Parts for Sale" sub-forum. It's the same thread in both places.
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=5876&p=102038#p102038
You would be #23 on the list and there is a 60 day lead time for anyone added to the list. Right now I'm building units for people that ordered in the middle of December. I'm trying to get faster but it's tedious work to do it right".
Let me know if you want to be added to the list.

I received my locker bypass today. The quality of the kit is top notch.

I had previously bought a shelby kit, but never installed it, as it seemed highly questionable, given it essentially disassembled itself in shipment.

The cables in the new kit look better than I would even expect from Mopar itself.
It will probably be a couple of months before I can install though due to time constraints and weather, but I am looking forward to it!

Many thanks for taking the time to do this, Retired! I did this to my 07 Tacoma and it was F’ing A! I have a scheduled build date of March 11 for a 19 Tradesman PW (Dial transmission shift and push-button lockers). Is the wiring for the new ones largely the same as the 17-18s and would your unit install the same? If so, I would love to be put on the list. Thanks again!

I’m going to have to get my hands on one locally so I can do some R&D, but I suspect it’s going to require a new prototype. I’ll post info as things progress.

Ram just released connector diagrams for the 2019 trucks, everything has changed and the current locker bypass won't work on 2019 and newer trucks. When you compare the 2018 diagram to the 2019 diagram, you can see that all switch inputs have been removed. Now all control of the final drive control module (FDCM) is coming through the CAN C data stream apparently.

The next generation of locker bypass will need to be a reprogrammer or a completely stand alone hardwired unit. I'm not capable of manufacturing a reprogrammer, but I can build the other option and it would be plug and play with no cutting of wires. However it would more than likely set codes and turn on warning lights.

a diesel powerwagon with a transfer case and lockers warrantied is a great idea, but i dont see why i need to move on quite yet

Get real. The 4G's don't even have a RC/LB like the 3G's. You're 9" longer and can't see over the hood.

Your grab handle falls off, dashes explode, paint peels and you have an underpowered motor. Should I mention an interior fitting of a Dodge Neon?

i actually dont have any babysitters, which is why i said, because it may be the last gen to that we can effectively bypass the computer without being disabled, codes, or locked out.

truth be told, the front camera ive added (Garmin GPS/Bluetooth) helps me see exactly what my bumper is creeping into (mounted over the A)

i would not purchase a Regular cab so makes no difference to me.

Yeah, but my babysitter is hot. I slide right up in there daily. 8-)

Canbus programming is a pain. But it can be done with some simple electronics. My BMS is canbus and I setup a raspberry pi to pull info out of it. And I know you can do some things with.... crap I sat here for 5 minutes trying to think of what it's called. I guess I'm getting old. So... what was I talking about?

I finally got the kit installed today. Pretty straight forward once you get the wiring laid out and understand where it goes and how to run it. It was a quicker install than I expected.

Once I had everything “roughed” in, I tested the lockers and everything worked as it should. I ran into a problem when I went to mount the module box. I think it’s because I used an impact drill to secure the self tapping screws to the inner fender. Once I had it mounted, but before I put the air filter box back in I tried the lockers and it just buzzed. I took the module box back out and as indicated in the directions I removed the module cover (4 small screws) and turned the dial on the relays. After several times of adjustment I got it working again. This time, I used a screwdriver to secure the module box to the inner fender and had no problems. I think the vibration from the impact drill caused an issue the first time with the relays.

Once I mounted the module box I tested the lockers and everything worked again. I then put everything back together and zip tied the cables to existing mounts on the truck. The finished product is very clean and I think most people would have no idea that it wasn’t factory wiring.

I’m excited to actually try the kit off-roading, but was able to try it on a dirt road. The lockers locked immediately and it was nice to engage the rear locker in 2hi.

Thanks again Retired BLM Rig!

Just as a tale for others.

Dont be like me and assume the settings are correct. Every truck is different, and the Design however perfect, can not anticipate any abnormalities in each and every Truck. Rough in The harness and test the system. make any necessary adjustments, and assume you may need to access them in the future. Do not permanently or artificially make it any more difficult to access.

I can only assume that many will need adjustments during install, or shortly there after.
I have Relocated the box and secured it to the S and B intake in clear view. This is probably not advisable for a truck that visits dealers often, as the box to a "trained" eye is not typical under a ram hood.

The mounting Location described in the instructions is the most ideal unassuming and discrete way to unlock your true potential!
