Well specifically what I meant was why the safety features exist when you still cant lock it down and disconnect even after meeting them.

When all the criteria in the logic is satisfied, the locker will be energized to engage (your light(s) will still be blinking). When alignment takes place, AND the locker is energized, AND the locking mechanism is not bound up and can move, the dog ring pushes towards the locking slide gear and the axle shafts are locked together. Once this happens, the locker light remains on solid confirming that you are locked.

Yeah I understand how e-lockers work. I just dont understand why the ram logic is so intrusive. Theo nly thinig I can think of is for warranty coverage. So lets make it aggravating to engage and force everyone to use fortune tellers before they go out in the woods first.

In any case I just got my able bypass so I wont have to deal with that anymore.

No, the 19's don't need it. Ram finally allowed locker function in all transfer case ranges starting this year. I haven't heard a single complaint yet regarding locker engagement on the new trucks.

Maybe with the new switches/setup/design they finally got it figured out.

blm i had a question on the bypass. using it yesterday in 4hi the rear locked as normal. after turning the knob to front /rear at a very slow speed the front seemed to lock as normal but there was a rapid clicking sound from the front passenger side, presumably under the hood where the box is located. the clicking didnt stay constant and slowed then got more rapid. after a minute or so it seemed to stop. is the clicking a sign that the relays need adjusted on the front ? honestly i didnt check the adjustment at install, so maybe it was on the borderline needing adjusted

Yes, that's a sure sign that it's time to make an adjustment. The procedure is simple and outlined on page #6 of the installation instruction. If you need me to send you another copy of the instructions, just say the word.
