So, I never let the MDS engage on my truck. Do we think that's helpful or is it just my ADHD? (I like to see what gear I am so I run in the manual mode, which disengages MDS)

100% of the time i shift into 6th to disable MDS... i can not stand the performance of MDS.
it better be helpful and not detrimental, because even if it grenades the motor, im disengaging it on the tow truck too

No. The lifters are defective. 6.4 Apaches have the same problem.

Update:. At the 6 week mark with no return calls and no clue what is going on with my truck, I had it towed to a dealership in Denver. The service manager at the new dealership let me know he was about a week out, so I hope to hear from him mid-week (7 week mark). I still don't know what happened, plan for repairs, or a timeline... Giving this new service manager a chance to answer those three questions that the first dealership couldn't answer in 6 weeks... Nightmare continues...

Curious if you've there's any progress on this? Ram is going to be repairing my lifter/cam issue but dealership says there will be a month wait at least. Service writer says because of parts shortage
