Now you can almost call yourself a mechanic, and not a shade tree engineer.

PDavey, after a year and a half of use, can you provide any feedback about performance improvements, fuel economy/consumption after doing your camshaft? Was is worth it? Would you do it again?

Can’t believe it has been close to 2 years since I did all the work to the Power Wagon. All in all it has been working great but I was missing some low end after the upgrades which didn’t make sense because the camshaft was supposed to help with it.

I finally took it to a local tuner in Richmond called National Speed. They just came in market this year. Great group of folks and an amazing facility.

Well turns out they were able to find my low end. The tune that I had received from Arrrington just wasn’t right. I had written to Arrington and sent them a few data logs but they said it was fine.

The results from the dyno by National Speed and then subsequent tune results show a different story. It is like driving a completely new truck.

I am very happy with the results now post tune and definitely think the upgrades were a good investment.

That first pull looks like total shit. It's one of the reasons I'm skeptical of remote tuning without parallel live dyno event. It's not even necessarily about peak HP, that sloppy curve probably translated to sluggish acceleration.

Bingo Reloderguy. Hence why I felt like the upgrades weren’t doing anything. I am a firm believer in tuning to the vehicle now.
