3.5 Ton Jeep on Station!

Post by Neuvik » Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:36 pm

Hows it going PWR!

Ecstatically proud 2018 Power Wagon owner from Norther California (Grass Valley) checking in! Owned this beast 1 year now and I freaking love it! Man this thing kicks ass, wish I found Power Wagons earlier, honestly a members youtube videos sold it to me. Not giving up my 7.3L F250, but for getting some full size 4x4 I just don't see how you can top the Power Wagon. Some days I just feel bad for the Taco TiRD fanboys and the Ford Raptard bros, atleast they look good while they pick up their groceries I guess...

From taking it off the stealerships lot I've been using it to 4x4 and get some! Been very impressed with what it can do. Like the rest of you I wish it came with 35's, a real bumper (or better cut piece of plastic for approach angles). But I've impressed some Rubi and built jeeps on the trail.

Still building her out, but the little Miss totally approves and loves riding in it just as much as me!

Had installed an AT habitat, threw on White Knuckle Rock Sliders and Cali front diff guard.

Waiting on Purple Cranium Covers rear diff guard, Dethloff engine/xmission skid plate, Addictive Desert Design HD Stealth Front Bumper, Expedition One Read bumper, DOR Steering brace and AEV snorkel.

Still on factory 33's and no lift, was trying to wear them out before going to 35s. I'm a fan of Nitto Trail Grapplers but I hear it rubs. Looking at BDS lift. Or after looking at Fab Fours Open Fender system I might try and fabricobble my own version haha, still can't believe they want 4.3K for the set up with that amount of body work...

Here's a few photos of my fun so far. Stupidly I didn't take any of the snow and mud fun we've been having in the Sierras here.

Thanks guys!

Hey, do all the pictures show up or just the one? Least it looks like the one using my winch work haha. Snow was covering a wash out, road looked liked it kept going straight, but the water cut a path under the snow and my back end started sliding down the hill haha.
Thankfully Winch mobbed it!

Put either of those on your truck and

If you want 40's use AEV's fender flares and go look at ReloaderGuys build thread.

A BDS lift will ruin the otherwise nice setup you have, especially with what you are doing and that Habitat. Your options are Thuren & Carli if you want real performance and quality. You bought an AT, I think you know what quality is. ;)

Haha, I meant that like a last resort. Just taking my time at the moment. But I'll check out his build thread. I was leaning towards Thuren because of their obvious quality and the vast majority of you guys have no problems with em; but as everyone knows its a small shop and backlogged at the moment. Honestly don't know if I'll get to a lift this year, lot on my plate. And definitely need to truss up the axle. Need this rig built, we got some good rock where I'm at!

And yea that AT is freaking tits, not a single drop of buyers remorse! Thanks!

DITTO, I waited for my Kings, I think everyone has. Just had this convo with a friend who isn't happy about his Kings he got from Carli after I told him last year to go with Thuren, but he just had to have them the following week after he placed an order.

I just purchased a brand new 2018 Power Wagon and after only 4 days of pounding concrete I'm ready to go off road! I can't believe how well this thing drives on the highway. I can't wait to drop this thing into 4L and disconnect the sway bars! My PW has every option except sunroof and ram box. I didn't want the sunroof, but the ram box would have been nice.
