New in south Florida

Post by Mario75 » Wed Feb 27, 2019 8:07 am

Hello Power Wagon registry I’m Mario nice to meet you all. I just traded in my Ram R/T for a preowned 2017 with 14k miles on it. I am pretty excited to get this truck, I’ve drooled over these for sometime. I’ll be taking ownership of it tomorrow and driving it home. All I have is the dealer pictures right now sorry for that. I’ll try and get some better pics up soon. I look forward to learning as much as possible about these trucks from everybody on here. Cheers!

We're from up in Clearwater, there was a dude down your area who was a firefighter and had an RT we bought the GXP from. Woulda been a "small world" if you were the same dude.

Either way man, welcome to the forum. We're all a bunch of BSers here.

Hey guys drove it back from Georgia last night. Here are a couple pics I snapped real quick. It has a k&N cold air and a muffler delete..a little too much drone on the highway so I’m gonna be putting some kind of muffler in soon.

I only do what the majority of the 4 voices in my head tell me to. In most cases, I ignore two of them because one doesn't speak English, and I suspect the other is talking to someone else.

take some pics of the exhaust...

it is the resonator or muffler that was chopped?

I'm willing to bet it's the Mufflex muffler delete. That thing makes the truck sound stupid. The resonator cut off doesn't sound bad and paired with a good muffler there is no drone. I've got none with my Magnaflow.

Here are some pics of the exhaust, looks like the resonator is there, and a muffler delete. I also want to find a factory air box for it, I’m not a fan of the K&N especially since I eventually want the snorkel kit from AEV

Oh damn, that's not even the Mufflex, since theirs is bolt in. That's a straight up welded in pipe. Yeah, that is gonna drone.

Also, AEV Snorkel works with the K&N. I have both. Although I think I'd like the new S&B intake even better.

Bold adventure do you have pics of your setup? The top of my K&N is open wouldn’t that defeat the purpose of the snorkel?

s and B is tits. great quality intake and super easy to service filter.
it was mentioned that the Snorkel will work which is why i decided on it.

my exhaust has no drone and sounds ridiculous.

Mufflex magnaflow muffler and resonator chopped off.
tip exits just after the axle rise pointed down and out. great high tuck clearance.
