Hey There, eh!

Post by LumpyCanuck » Tue Jan 22, 2019 12:53 am

Whats going on everybody!? Loooooong time lurker, so I figured I would just get it over with and join up. Now I'll get this out of the way now....I don't own a power wagon...yet. I know, I know :wtf: , but been wrestling with a career that just never panned out, and I am on the right road now, and plan on purchasing late summer/early fall. Having jumped in with both feet before, I've picked up on the importance of research. Especially on the most important points......like how to hardwire the lockers, and what needs to be touched with a sawzall to fit 37's with no lift :D

I am coming from a toyota tacoma background, and some jeep things way back when. I'm a big dude, so its time for a big boy truck. Also, we need a truck to tow our smallish travel trailer(3500#, 18') and pack a quad around. The taco pulled the trailer.....it was less than stoked on doing it, but its done it for 4000ish kms. Did the "overlanding" thing for a bit, but going a little more beast, a lot less bro with this truck.

Anyway, I'll be around, asking a metric(because canadian) ton of questions, and when buying time comes, looking for guidance.

Welcome to the group!

If fitting 37's without modifications is a priority, the latest gen trucks are a good place to start... (2014 and up)

Good luck finding a Power Wagon to meet your needs.

Thanks!! thats where I was going to start anyway, 2014 and newer, because thats when the 6.4 came standard (IIRC). No replacement for displacement lol

Oh and most places won't finance anything much older than 2013, and those are mostly km'd out in my books
