2nd attempt, Stumbled onto this forum and had to join. It’s a wealth of information and experience. I had wanted a powerwagon for many years then finally ordered one from my local dealership in Lampasas. Put about 2k on it then the wife and I headed through Texas, New Mexico , Arizona and out to Utah before heading home. It lived up to my expectations and exceeded many other people on the trails. We are probably going to start overlanding and more trail riding. I look forward to visiting!

Thank you! We anticipated towing my wife’s rubicon with it. But after taking it on the long road trip and realizing not only was it more more comfortable but a VERY capable vehicle off road then we’ve decided to overland in it. Canyon lands in Utah was the deciding factor. There’s just too much to see and driving back to Moab for a hotel room isn’t worth the time lost.
I think the next step is a camper shell with a under platform storage compartment. I think I’ll weld up a back bumper swinging tire carrier / Jerry can holder setup too. I’ve been trying to research a good setup for this. The custom ones are crazy expensive and the Wilco is cool but I don’t want to loose the receiver in the process.

Welcome aboard sir! I’m your neighbor to the south. Got a place around the blanco area. There’s getting to be a good number of us in the hill country now. Beautiful truck!

That’s awesome! I live on the family ranch near the Lampasas / Burnet county line, grew up in and love the Texas hill country.
