New owner from the PNW

Post by Eightyproof » Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:17 pm

Greetings all, I picked up a 2016 PW a couple weeks ago. Already have it on 37s and some parts on the way to do some modification to the winch. :cash:
Not new to dodge, I've owned an srt8 charger, two ram3500 dually Cummins, and two Durangos.
Looking forward to some great adventures with my PW

Welcome, what part of the NW?
I'm in the Everett WA area. Hoping to do some snow runs in the local area this winter to get the truck under my feet a little. I'm used to jeeps, wanting to see how a full size throws its weight around.

In the snow, not as well as a Jeep. The big rear diff hangs low and will get you stuck if there’s a crust layer on top. If you’re tying to air down to increase floatation, that diff just gets lower. A Power Wagon on 37s is going to get stuck a lot more than a Jeep on 37s (or 35s).

It’s still fun to give it a go! I’m looking forward to winter, we get some really interesting wheeling opportunities up here in AK when the snow falls and the ground freezes.
