Well damn, I used to live in Qtown. If you are there, then you are definitely close enough to come to Rausch Creek with us.

Hello from northern California,
Just guy my 2012 Power Wagon yesterday. Loving it so far and hoping to keep this truck a long time. Looking forward to many trips into the woods hunting and camping in this truck. Pretty sure there's nowhere I'd try to go that this truck couldn't take me.

Re: "Welcome Thread"
Hello, Name's Benny. I just fell into a 2014 PW. I was the owner of a 2013 Jeep Rubicon and have always had a soft spot for the Power Wagons when they came out. I was known as a Jeep guy and my friends are still in shock that I sold the Jeep to get the truck. This one hit the lot on friday Dec 30th. My buddy that works at the dealership posted a pic of the truck on his facebook and I was there on monday to run the numbers. Everything worked out and I'm now lovin this rig.The truck as it sat on the day I brought it home.
The guys at the dealership were fantastic and let me swap my 35" Toyo AT's from the Jeep to the Truck as well as some of the other off-road goodies.
I did get a set of nerf bars for the truck until I can get a set of real sliders. It is really weird coming from the Jeep JK world where there are literally billions of aftermarket item to the PW world. May save me money in the long run, we'll see. Looking forward to getting this thing dirty.

Re: "Welcome Thread"
I know the feeling! Traded my '12 JKUR for my tuck and felt the same way. There are some things available for these newer wagons already, but nowhere near the magnitude of whats available for jeeps.... its almost sickning how much stuff you can buy for jeeps.desertbenny wrote:... Have fun with the fullsize!

Re: "Welcome Thread"
The problem with the aftermarket for the Power Wagons is that the majority of it is the expensive, good, quality stuff that enthusiasts make. Not that smittybilt crap. just kidding, there's the usual truck stuff out there for the Rams that fits. It's definitely not a jeep. But isn't that part of the allure? How many jeeps do you see, and how many Wagons do you see? I think a stock Wagon is sexier than a built Jeep now that everyone and their grandmother has a jeep with Currie axles and 40's
Good pick man! Keeps are cool too, but trucks we jeep capabilities are a game changer...

Re: "Welcome Thread"
I've been telling all my Jeep friends that the Power wagon is the truck that Jeep should've built. Basicly an awesome XL version of a Rubicon.

Re: "Welcome Thread"
Let's be honest, stock Jeeps are just ok.
You can take a stock Power Wagon though and do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9feGGhzRiNk
this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ESojiZub4A
this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAXpzcLicKk
and this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsCDwiuUj90 for example.
These things are great for a fullsize.

Re: "Welcome Thread"
I would say that stock jeeps are more capable off road than a pw, but that is really all they are good at. The pw can do so much more other than off roading.

Re: "Welcome Thread"
so, my Power Wagon finally arrived in Switzerland, all in one piece! I can't wait to start the built of this overlanding vehicle! We plan to be finished by 2018. There will be a cabin on the back, pretty alike the one I had on my 1996 Toyota HZJ75 (http://www.pawsontour.com) but it shall be a lightweight built to get a max. of 3.8tons.
The car itself got 70'000miles, Los Angeles car with very low on rust, so it's a good start. It took me long to find a 2 door for our built, as we only plan to take a dog on our travels as we did before.
It got leather electric seats with heater, electric windows, wood grain/leather steering wheel, 2 zone AC, tow package, clearance lamps, 160A Alternator etc. I think that's pretty loaded for a PW.

Re: "Welcome Thread"
it's a 2006 but as said, I guess bumper and one fender and maybe hood was replaced as it was repainted and bumper is rusty although the whole car is rust free. I guess those parts were replaced after the accident. But the frame is straight and that's important. The bumper will be replaced with an Aluminess bumper from Colibri here in the forum anyway.
