Read the details about this item carefully before you purchase...
You get the throttle and shift mappings of 4-Lo whenever it is active!

Not to mention the fact that it doesn't play well with the CAD front axle. It works but will BANG if you're moving when you flip the switch.

Not much more to add to the above to responses. Don't waste your money on that, you can easily hard-wire your lockers.

I did a video on it and it's saved permanently on my Instagram profile under PW Locker ByPass in the stories: https://www.instagram.com/boldadventure/

When you shift in 4Hi or 4Lo. The CAD engages? Right? When using the bypass. The computer thinks you shifted into 4Lo. But you are still in either 2Hi or 4Hi. So why the bang? I don't see it.

No idea. But it personally happened to me once with this kind of setup. Happened to my wife too when I wasn't with her. And actually, now that I think about it, she wasnt even in 4 wheel drive, but she activated the setup to think the truck was in 4-lo. It was loud enough she though she broke the truck hahahaha.

Does it bang when shifting the transfer case from 2Hi to 4Hi? Or just when using a bypass?

It was intermittent. I honestly cant remember exactly when it did it. Never did figure out what was going on.

I just know I heard/felt it once, and my wife did as well when she accidentally activated the setup (had it on my homelink button, and she hit the wrong garage door opener button leaving - she had no idea I even had the setup on the truck). But she wasnt even in 4wd, I know that.

I wonder if telling the truck it’s in 4LO (bypassing) when in 2HI is forcing the CAD to lock up faster/harder/differently than shifting into 4HI or 4LO normally.

It is possible. I never did put much thought into figuring it out because I disliked the higher RPM and mapping so much that I knew I was gonna get rid of the setup. I am not sure it was coming from the CAD or the tcase, but I suspected the CAD.
