3rd Gen Smartbar Locker Bypass

I finally found another vendor that can supply a realistic quantity of pins so I think I will stick with using the T-Harness under the dash. I think it's a much better option compared to tearing into factory harnesses, that just leaves too much room for problems. Bad news is the price is going to go up a little for 3rd gens. We're looking at $265 shipped in the US, another $25 for Canada. Most of this additional cost is in the T-Harness connectors, but there's also some more wire, loom, bullet connectors, etc involved with the 3rd gens.

I'm having the control boxes custom cut for the connector. It sure beats having to dremel the holes out, what a pain! It does add a few dollars to the cost but the time savings is worth it for me. Because of this custom cutting, the lead time on the control boxes is about 3 weeks. Everything else should be in before then...

This is great news indeed for all 3rd gen owners!!! I'm hard wired but i'm sure there are tons of people who rather keep the factory controls!!!

Are you going to use the list on the "Hardwired Lockers with OEM Knob" thread for the 3rd Gen bypass kits or will you start a new one on the "3rd Gen Smartbar Locker Bypass" thread in the vendor section? Just curious as it seems you are getting close to making them.

Testing went great! I don't foresee any issues. Just waiting on these damn Hong Kong suppliers to get me some parts. It's insanely hard sometimes!
