Thanks! So the stock winch mounts to the stock bracket exactly the same way (orientation) that the stock winch would mount to the Road Rhino bumper.

And if you guys ever want a rear winch, the Road Rhino rear bumper will also hold a winch the same way. The bolts go through the face of the bumper and attach to the winch horizontally.

There is a HUGE part of me that really wishes you wouldn't have posted anything about the rear bumper and winch. I always threw this idea out because Road Armor said that the rear bumper they offered would not work with a winch on the 4th Gen HD's. Danny- I think you're just trying to make me go broke!

Haha! If you buy the front and rear bumpers, buy them together - you save a lot of money that way.

The whole reason I haven't bought the front yet is I'm saving a few more pennies for the front/rear combo deal.

So are you saying that the rear bumper will hold a winch? Would that require moving the spare tire?

That depends on the winch. If it isn't real big then you could keep the spare there. I think there are quite a few 9,000 lb winches that would work in this application. Some of the bigger units are probably going to be too bulky. You would hope that a rear winch wouldn't need to be as big as the front winch, since the most common use for a rear winch is to pull someone else through what you already went through. Just go wheeling with Jeeps and 9,000 lbs is all you will need. :-) With a snatch block you should be able to pull your truck out backwards if needed.

how much does your front bumper weigh without brush guards?

regarding the rear, i use to hook up my warn 9.5 to the rear hitch when needed. that was nice. not sure a 9.5 would fit in the rear bumper without removing spare tire.

mike

ps....i just bent my front bumper and ripped the air dams off this past weekend. i knew this would happen eventually.

Good job on that stock bumper! haha

The Road Rhino front base bumper weighs 145 lbs. It's about 100 lbs more than stock.

Just saw the Facebook Post of bumpers going up in a month. Wondering what the front/rear weld your self with pre runner bar shipped to a business at 59801 is before and after the increase?

I was just getting on here to update actually. I'm trying to get the word out now so people can prepare. The increase isn't set in stone yet, I'm trying to get them to do $50 now and $50 in six months. Road Rhino is going up $100 in the long run either way. $50 to $100 per bumper isn't extreme but then you add in the shipping and it may add $250 to the overall price. Not a deal breaker, and we are still lower than any other options, but now is the time to buy if you wanna save some money.

So as an example (this isn't the for-sure pricing yet):

Current: WIY F&R with pre runner guard shipped to a business: $1,150

Final Increase Amount: $1,300

WIY kit goes up $100, shipping goes up $50.

I'm not sure if this will be the price in March - it may be later in the year when it goes up that high. The increase in March could put that package at $1,250 instead of the full $1,300.

I haven't been on your actual website yet but from the pics on here all I see for a 3rd gen front bumper are the ones with the circular front headlights. Mine are flat along the base of them. Do you have a separate bumper for an '06 up? Prob a stupid question but it never hurts to ask. Thanks

Try to get your order in by Feb 28th before the price increase.
