Bumper Dented... :/

Post by bigc310 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 4:27 pm

So I got in a wreck the other day.. rear ended some dude that decided to slam on his breaks and now my bumper is all dented in around the winch braces and stuff... I pulled it out some away from the winch with a come along today which helped. My question is is it worth it to get a new bumper and try and put it on myself? also is this bumper for the 2005 model just a normal 2500 bumper? i would assume so.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated :notworthy:

Normal bumper, just doesn't have the plastic above it where the winch fairlead comes out. I'd try to save it, it will just get dented up again off-road-----unless you are looking for an excuse to get a custom HD bumper, go for it.

I have one, but it's good for 2006 - 2008. They changed it in 2006. So you would need to get one from an 05.

And that reminds me, I'm not even sure if a 2006 will fit a 2009, even though it's a 3G, since the frame is a little different on the 09 and newer with being offset 3/8" from what I found mounting an 09-12 DTProfab steering brace on my 2006.
