Power Wagon Parts

Post by TwinStick » Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:57 pm

I'm starting this thread as a one stop area for Power Wagon Specific parts, part #'s & links where to get them, to save us money over the stealership----& other cool off-road stuff that us Power Wagon owners would use. Just a few examples of PWS parts: disconnecting swaybar, swaybar end links, front & rear locker actuators, blank actuator plugs for hardwired locker bypass, manual disconnect for swaybar, etc, etc. Examples of other cool off-road stuff: waterproof aux circut board, aux battery stuff, CB or other radios, antennas, switches, wireless winch remotes, recovery stuff, the HD red snatch blocks that came with the winch kit, etc, etc.

Please try to keep chatting to a minimum in this thread if possible. Description in bold print & a link. Thanks. Hope this works out.

You don't have to order the sway bar disconnect from Australia,.
Get it here for less $. (I know it fits the Power wagon because that's my smartbar in the picture)

Good site for cool Off-Road accessories. Including the big red 30,000 lb WARN Power Wagon snatchblock.

http://www.xtremeterrain.com/search.asp ... &log=false

http://www.xtremeterrain.com/warnsnatch ... acity.aspx

One that looks just like it, but not red & not WARN but MUCH cheaper.

Saw this on Truck and Winch's website. Don't know if it's as good as Amsteel Blue or Viking, but looks like a pretty good deal.

Power Wagon frame vs. Ram 2500 frame part number

PW frame is part number 55398868AC and the frame for the 2500 4x4 RAMs (gas and diesel) is 55398813AC.

Just throwing that out there.

Does anyone know what exactly is different?
I have suspicions that is is just mounting holes and hardware for the skid plates and such but I honestly don't know.

Ace found out that there is a difference between the PW '08's and '09's front frame area. Where the sway bar bolts to. The '09's is wider.

These guys are based in Idaho. Maybe another option for bumpers, rails, etc. for folks out in the Rocky Mountain states....definitely miss being out there!

The weight rating on this product is much, much lower that the competitors products. At a rating of 16,500 lbs, it's 5000 lbs below the 7/16" rope from WinchLine.com.

http://www.vikingoffroad.com/products/7 ... imble.html

16000 lbs capacity will work, but I personally like to have a bit more safety factor than that. I may get a chunk of the cheaper stuff for an extension tho.
I'm just along for the ride...

Just so everyone knows this about the PW frames...it has been mention that this frame is different then the stock 2500 frame..well it is not..the reason it has it's own part number is it's the same frame but one extra set is done to it...that is, it has predrilled holes in it too bolt up extra cross members and skid plates too. This is the only difference. As far as the suspension, the lower and upper arms are a little longer to offset for the 2.5 inch lift

G-56 Shifter Boot

Moose ATV, Fast Boot, part # M92-06801 --------$17.99......http://www.parkeryamaha.com/moosefastbootkit.aspx
Other part #'s for the same thing: # 0213-0427 , # 558668

Geno's Garage part # DRM614002 -------$25.00 .............https://www.genosgarage.com/product/drm ... rain-plugs

Dodge Stealership (for the rubber boot only) part # 5191985 AA -------$90.00-$120.00 !!! :jawdrop:
Some dealers will tell you it ONLY comes in a kit, & is $600.00+ !!! :jawdrop: Bullshit, it is avail individually.
I think this is the same thing, just called something different, AKA---the name game:........http://www.wholesalemopar.com/parts_catalog.html ...About $20-$29.00

NOTE: If purchasing one from the dealer, DO NOT accept the orange or red ones. My research showed that these are the oldest ones & what was installed from the factory, & are thinner & much more prone to cracking/ripping/tearing. You want the black one that has been redesigned & is much thicker. Just an FYI.

Hope this helps others when the time comes.
